@CerberusSenn I vaguely remember somebody saying it originated because captured archers in battles back in the day would have their middle fingers cut off so they couldn't shoot anymore. Archers then started flashing that finger to the opposing army before shooting
@AstralB1scuit@SleepyZoroark I don't see what point you're trying to make. The darkness is meant to be an obstacle in your run...so you want something to make it not be any challenge? Isn't that just going against the point of it?
I don't mean this to be rude, I genuinely wanna understand what you mean.
@AstralB1scuit@SleepyZoroark Like I said, that's more subjective, I think it's more immersive, others may not.
I also feel like you're latching too much onto the "Money for flashlights" thing, which just isn't true. It's not worth buying any flashlights because they're so common to find.
@AstralB1scuit@SleepyZoroark Plus, I think that the game being so dark adds more immersion? That's more of a subjective thing but if the game gives you like 5 different tools for darkness, I don't think it's fair to say that darkness is a huge issue.
@AstralB1scuit@SleepyZoroark Whilst the devs really do words things very bluntly and rudely, I do feel like they make good points
I play on the lowest graphics possible and I still think the game would run fine, as for the dark areas they really aren't too dark? Only in the ridge but that's it-
