The gameplay was just overall bad and all people could ever use as defense were the animations. The game had no soul and was a quick cash grab. People hate it because it was NOTHING like the first 2.

@JacquesPaught Because that's what it is. A horrible excuse of game to the series. It was incredibly bare bones and poorly executed. They got rid of so many characters and stages, then added a bunch of useless shit like gear. They didn't give it the proper love like Super & Charged.
