I'm Michael — a songwriter from the Scenic Rim.

I started Bonfire Men with no music training. Just a backyard fire and words that needed to be said.

Why do I make this music?

Because I've seen too many blokes carry it alone. Because I've carried it alone. Because sometimes the hardest thing to say is "I'm not okay" — and sometimes a song says it for you.

I write every lyric from real life — my life, my mates, the things we don't talk about. Then I use AI as my instrument to help bring the sound to life. I record my own vocals. It's a collaboration — human heart, digital tools.

I've got 2 albums out now for men's mental health — "The Fire" and "The Light." This song is called "We Got You."

I started Bonfire Men in my backyard in the Scenic Rim, Queensland. Not as a music project—as a space for blokes to sit around a fire and talk, or just sit in silence. A place where men could put down the weight they've been carrying.

I never planned to make music. I can't play an instrument. I don't know a single chord. But the more I sat by that fire, the more I realised the words needed to be heard.

So I found a way. I use AI as my instrument. I use DeepSeek to help me shape the words. I write every lyric from real life—men's mental health, brotherhood, loss, hope, love, the good times, the hard times. Every song is different, because life is different.

I record my own voice. And now I'm learning to sing properly. I bought a guitar. I'm learning to play. The fire started in the backyard, but it's burning in me now.

2 albums out now. 6 more on the way. Over 100 songs written. About all of it—the dark, the light, and everything in between.

Because we all struggle. We all carry weight. We all need a fire to sit by.
