More than 99% of @cupenat cabin crew workers at WestJet voted in favour of a strike mandate. We've seen what Mark Carney does when workers legally exercise their rights. The Liberals have used Section 107 multiple times to stamp out worker power, forcing them back to work without a fair contract.

WestJet workers have taken every step to win a deal and now they may go on strike. The question is: will the Liberals violate these workers' rights, too?

The federal government’s proposed “Defence, Security and Resilience Bank” sounds technocratic and reassuring. It’s not. This is an international war bank that:

- Doubles down on militarizing our economy
- Sidesteps transparency and public scrutiny
- Requires massive cuts to the public services that actually keep us safe

Canada needs a modern and well-equipped military. But we do not need a war bank that will further enrich weapons contractors, especially American ones, that profit from death, destruction, and global instability.

My moms PSW has 13 clients today. Mom was #2.

PSWs pay for their own transportation - subway, gas, parking costs...

PSWs are hands down primarily women, Black, Filipina, and racialized.

PSWs are NOT paid enough for the full value of their work. We fought for years for increased wages and better work conditions. The fight continues.

Please dont stop talking about it.

Do not stop standing up for our PSWs.

Premier Ford continues to hold back owed salary payments to countless women thanks to his unconstitutional wage surpressing Bill 124.

Friends, us caregivers have a heavy load on our shoulders...but our load would be unimaginable without PSWs.

The federal government has finally acknowledged the practice of surveillance pricing, months after the NDP raised the alarm and sparked a national conversation about it.

But the bill doesn’t ban this disturbing practice - in fact, it doesn’t even mention it by name. Instead, it just promises vague regulatory action in the future.

In contrast, Wab Kinew’s NDP government in Manitoba is simply making the practice illegal. That’s the only way to stop big tech and big grocery chains from teaming up to gouge consumers.

We’ve put this issue on the table, and we’ll keep building public pressure on the government to act decisively: today’s bill does nothing definitive to protect Canadians from this very real threat.
