Life is short. Wickedly short. You never know when it’s your time and here we are wasting time fighting one another. Guess who is winning? Every American hating fool who desires to see our demise.

I’m not innocent. I’ve passed judgement on people’s political affiliations. It’s easy to pass judgment. It’s harder to seek to understand. I can guarantee you most groups of people looking to solve challenges, especially at the local level, are taking a non partisan approach. If we can start to fix the foundation together, maybe the house will settle.

If you saw a car on fire and jumped out to help, are you asking yourself what that person’s political party is? No. Your human instinct is to save the human. I may be an idealist, but I still believe most people are good. We’re giving a lot of attention to the NOISE on both sides when they are the minority.

I guess I’ll always be a hopeless idealist, or the greater fool, to believe we can achieve unity.

Our kids are watching.

NEW: Taco Bell manager saves infant's life after the baby stopped breathing in a Taco Bell drive-thru.

Pennsylvania woman Becky Arbaugh jumped into action, throwing her headset aside after hearing the mother of the baby crying out.

The 11-month-old started turning blue.

Arbaugh ran outside and grabbed the baby and performed CPR, saving little Myles' life.

"We couldn’t be more grateful to Becky. She saved my son’s life," the mother said.

"I’m just a mom helping a mom. I didn’t do anything different from what anyone else should be doing," Arbaugh said.
