This is the reality when Russia feels no accountability for its actions, breaks its promises, and assumes it will face no consequences for its war crimes.
Today Russia killed at least four people in its missile attack on Kryvyi Rih.
Russia will not abandon its terror on its own – it must be forced into peace. And this can only be achieved through joint efforts, both from the U.S., European partners and other countries of the world.
Even if the UK is the only country in the world supporting Ukraine, we should keep supporting them.
They are on the front line of our defence. Their sons and daughters are fighting and dying for our freedom.
We should be thanking them.
A historic moment: the Ukrainian Parliament has adopted the bill ratifying the Rome Statute of the @IntlCrimCourt.
For over 10 years, Ukraine has recognized the #ICC's jurisdiction, and Ukrainian prosecutors have been cooperating with the Court daily. Now, we will have a vote in the decisions that shape its activities.
For Russia, disregarding law and morality is a clear and deliberate policy. Ukraine, on the other hand, defends itself and takes all measures to uphold the norms and principles of international law. Today, we have once again proved our commitment to the values of the free world.
United we stand!
The justice and security spheres are critical in the context of Ukraine's EU accession negotiations. Therefore, we continue to develop the prosecution service in line with the best European and international practices.
We are working on changes in the following areas:
• Strengthening the internal control system. The Inspectorate General should not just respond to incidents but establish a comprehensive system to prevent corruption and violations of conduct;
• Improvement of disciplinary procedures. Adding more tools to the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Public Prosecutors based on GRECO recommendations;
• Modern HR. Improvement of the human resources management system—introducing a transparent and clear career development plan for every prosecutor;
• Digitalization of all prosecutorial processes—using modern technologies to make these changes faster and more efficient.
The development of these four areas is urgent and a top-priority task to ensure the effective work of the prosecution authorities and maintain public trust.
Last week, I met with representatives of the working groups on this issue. Together, we discussed the priority steps in these areas that can be implemented shortly and will lead to tangible results.
I am grateful to all the partners who support us in this and look forward to further fruitful cooperation to implement these crucial initiatives expected by society and necessary for building a successful European Ukraine.

Russia continues its attempts to annihilate Ukraine and Ukrainians. A new insidious attack on peaceful cities including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Pokrovsk has left more than 20 people dead and dozens wounded.
As of 12:30 p.m., at least 9 people have been killed and 33 wounded in Kyiv alone. The Okhmatdyt Hospital, a unique facility dedicated exclusively to treating children, was damaged. A section of a residential building was completely destroyed. There may still be people trapped under the rubble. Rescue operations are ongoing.
In Kryvyi Rih, 10 people were killed and more than 40 injured. The enemy fired two missiles at a civilian object.
Three people were killed in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
One person was wounded in Dnipro, and another in the Kyiv region.
Today’s events are horrific proof of the Kremlin’s genocidal intent. For the first time since Hitler, genocide is being committed in the center of Europe. The world has no right to turn a blind eye.

"Get out and stay out - we have been calling on businesses to stop funding an aggressor state since the very start of the full-scale war. There is no future for transparent business in Russia," said @ChamberUkraine president @AndyHunder.
"I am a Soldier, I fight where I am told, and I win where I fight."

Today, when Ukraine, together with Europe, for the first time officially marks the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II, Russia continues to wage its criminal war of aggression and shell our peaceful cities. Today, when Ukraine, together with the entire civilized world, says "never again," the Russian regime is, in fact, repeating the crimes of the Nazis.
But both we and our allies clearly remember the main lesson of World War II: even the most horrific criminals in the history of mankind eventually face justice. This is a lesson our enemy has yet to learn.
On the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in WWII, we pay tribute to 🇺🇦 warriors who gave their lives to ensure that wars will never happen again.
But "never again" has become "again" since Russia unleashed the war against Ukraine.
How many more "agains" can there be?
#RussiaIsATerroristState cynically disregards all norms of international humanitarian law. Yesterday evening, in the enemy's insidious attack on Odesa, five people were killed and over 30 injured. Among the wounded are two children and a pregnant woman. Five of the hospitalized are in critical condition.
The strike was carried out with an Iskander ballistic missile equipped with a cluster munition. This is an indiscriminate weapon, the use of which can lead to significant civilian casualties. Metal fragments and missile debris were recovered within a 1.5 km radius from the attack site. The investigation has grounds to believe that Russian Armed Forces officers decided to use this particular weapon deliberately to kill as many Ukrainian civilians as possible.
The investigation is ongoing. We will identify those who issue criminal orders to shell peaceful Ukrainian cities and hold them to account.

Deeply grateful to the US Senate for approving the vital aid package for Ukraine. We greatly value the support for our heroic armed forces, as well as for our law enforcement and security efforts. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to upholding the rule-based world order and standing with Ukraine in our struggle for freedom and justice. 🇺🇦🇺🇸
An important meeting with the @Bus_Ombudsman, the Council for Entrepreneurship Support in the Conditions of Martial Law, and representatives of the business community. We continue our systematic cooperation to strengthen the protection of the rights of fair entrepreneurs.
We have made significant progress in the three months since our last meeting, which was noted by the participants. We updated the Standards of Work for Prosecutors in the Area of Investment Protection during Criminal Proceedings. As of today, they are mandatory for all prosecutors.
The number of searches, property seizures, and cases of temporary access has been reduced by almost half. Prosecutors took over 3,195 measures to protect the rights of entrepreneurs involved in criminal proceedings. Specifically, almost a fifth of the proceedings in this category were closed (1218 out of 6471 cases identified during the audit).
Our steadfast priorities include exposing both dishonest representatives of state and law enforcement agencies and dishonest representatives of the private sector, as well as comprehensively strengthening protection and creating favorable conditions for the operation of respectable businesses.
Deeply grateful to the Head of the @APUkraine@AndriyYermak, Business Ombudsman @WaschukCanUA, the Presidential Council for Entrepreneurship Support, and all representatives of business associations that our Department regularly cooperates with.
We keep working together to bring the Victory over the enemy closer and build a successful European Ukraine where transparent and competitive business becomes the foundation of economic growth.
We are deeply grateful to the U.S. House of Representatives for approving the vital aid for Ukraine, as well as the REPO Act, advancing the confiscation of frozen Russian assets, and hope that these crucial measures will receive support in the Senate in the near future.
We greatly appreciate the United States' unwavering support and global leadership in protecting democracy and the rule-based world order.
Last night, Russia launched another massive attack on peaceful Ukrainian cities. Dnipro and the region were under attack. Residential buildings and civilian objects were damaged by missiles and combat UAVs. As of 10:00 a.m., 9 people have been killed, including three children. 29 civilians have been injured. Emergency services are working at the sites of the attacks.
Prosecutors and law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of war crimes. Criminal proceedings have been initiated over all the facts. #RussiaIsATerroristState Terrorists must be stopped and held to account.
A new insidious crime of the terrorist state. This morning Russia attacked Chernihiv. A missile strike on civilian objects almost in the center of the city. As of 12:30, reports confirm 13 people killed. 61 injured, including two children. The rescue operation continues.
Prosecutors and investigators are already on site documenting the consequences of this war crime. A criminal proceeding has been initiated. Russia's terror against peaceful Ukrainian cities will not go unpunished. #RussiaIsATerroristState #NoImpunity
