@jr499027 @Frances_Coppola I haven't been to the cinema since 1996 so I'm not an authority, but it can only be this one: https://t.co/VVEXzgoyAe

@TruthSeeker9781 @Alghurabaaaaaa Where I am, sunrise is about 40 degrees south of east in midwinter and 40 north of east in midsummer. But, the hadith is not about cosmology, it is a prophecy about the spread of Islam. If you're interested in understanding pre-modern Muslims cosmology see https://t.co/SnVZQonf1E

@TruthSeeker9781 @Alghurabaaaaaa Plural indicates all the points where the sun rises or sets over the seasons. You don't have to believe it. You can have a view that Islam never left the little township of Madina and there aren't Muslims across the globe. Or you could say "he may have had a hunch on this one."

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@TruthSeeker9781 @Alghurabaaaaaa The actual phrasing used is: I saw its "mashariq" and magharib." mashariq is plural of east, and magharib is plural of west. The translation uses extremities because he was not talking about just one place in the east or the west, but 'easts and wests' is not a good translation

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@TruthSeeker9781 @Alghurabaaaaaa he was given a vision seeing the world, and his people reaching all of it. In the full text, he mentions being given the treasures of Persia and Byzantium. Any unbeliever would have laughed at the idea of conquering the two super powers of the day

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@HalalNation_ Brother I don't think you should try to capitalise on this one

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@TruthSeeker9781 @Alghurabaaaaaa I'm explaining the phrase 'Allah folded the earth for me' which seems to have caused some confusion. Like all languages, Arabic has figures of speech which do not necessarily translate well into other languages. The answer to all your questions is there, if you are sincere.

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@uselessbiomass @Osint613 @grok seems like they didn't do anything major after all

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@TruthSeeker9781 @Alghurabaaaaaa It's an Arabic expression to refer to things made much easier that they should be, especially long distances of travel made as though short and within easy reach

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@eraser0110 @Concubinist sh Faraz Rabbani is pretty well known

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@ZuhdApprentice @Concubinist He was huge, but his community seems have completed faded back into the mainstream after a generation or two, with barely any memories of Islam intact.

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@Mufti_Muhammad_ Hope you packed a warm jumper, sheikh

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@abdulafandii I wonder who could be coordinating all the stirring of sectarian debates between Muslims?

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@_sharif7 JazakumAllah kheiran for this, brother.

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@SaudIbnAbdo @Ahmedbhalmuslim brother if your aim is to make Saudis seem more pleasant, you're not helping

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@SkyNews are we finally declaring war on Israel?

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@KerrDepression unsure about the need to frame it in racial terms, most of these sheikhs had formative years in the Middle East or Africa, many still live there - would have been better to keep it as sheikhs of Western origin. Then you could include the Sh Osi Efas, the Zayd Shakirs etc

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@LilLaaHilHamd @mohammed_hijab I've read these criticisms of him before, but I didn't get a hint of any of these ideas in his book when I first read it

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@ArchonAvalon are you going to do other colours or just white?

[Bonzo @Bonzo38022013]

@Alghurabaaaaaa ameen
