@Pro__Trading Mormons are now super concerned with moderating and blending in with the rest of Christian denominations.
It’s almost as if they are pivoting due to the internet silently killing the numbers. All to protect the huge investment firm that is the LDS church. Money and power cult
@Texas867@LightOfAntioch@TaylorRMarshall It’s not about “serving self.” If you’re born into an ideology that says one thing, it’s hard to question that. Have some grace
Personally I was lucky to be born into a secular life, but observe religion closely w/out the pressure to conform. I was able to see it more objectively
@RustySuretteTV (2) Massive marketing bugets and sophisticated business practices that give them the leg up on opening new locations. Local mom and pops can’t compete with C-suites full of MBAs… the consumer looses when local ownership is threatened
@RustySuretteTV (1) Commercial real estate has gotten so expensive, between loan interest and property tax. A much larger % of what you pay at the register goes to land cost, loan interest, and franchise payments than with a local restaurant. However these massive corporations have…
@LightOfAntioch@Texas867@TaylorRMarshall The internet is quietly killing the Mormon church, I don’t know how I feel about it. They are good pleasant productive memebers of society.
My only problem with Mormons is how they treat apostates. They are very nice outwardly, but can be vicious when their own start questioning
@LightOfAntioch@Texas867@TaylorRMarshall By the clear cut definition of Christianity (follower of Jesus) Mormons are Christian’s.
By the definition of most other wide spread Christians, Mormons aren’t because of theology error and addition.
I think 99% of the good of Christianity is in Matthew 5-7, which you follow.
@GhostInYouToo I don’t qualify for any government assistance, but I see people in much better health than me milking it.
I work 40-hours at a desk where I can sit
@GhostInYouToo I wasn’t advocating that. His sentiment is that of, we need to do something to force the moochers off the system.
And you strawman-ed his argument by saying “but there are legitimate cases that would be impacted”
Obviously he isn’t trying to take from people who need it
@GhostInYouToo I am anything but lucky… you know nothing about me. I have been in constant intense physical pain for 6 straight years. I can’t stand for longer than 5 minutes. I wake up 10 times a night in pain.
Enjoy your good health, assuming you have it
@GhostInYouToo If the government forces me to pay for something for someone else my rights have been violated. I give to actual food charities. When daddy government gets involved the highest percent of ETB per item is spent on lobster tails to turn it into liquid cash. Maybe use some nuance
@GhostInYouToo It would be better if whoever you shopped for had family and a community that propped them up, but government handout came in and nobody felt like it was there responsibility to take care of others. Now several generations removed we have ungratefulness and lack of responsibility
@GhostInYouToo Antidotal. Because if you go by the “data” there is not Fraud. The government deemed them unable to work. But you go see who’s at the register using EBT, and they don’t look that disabled to me. I work and have debilitating chronic foot pain than aches intensely 24/7.
@Robbie_Mikha@TheChiefNerd To what gain? Who is behind him? The only marionette I’ve been able to identify is the country that can subvert the will of the voting population of a rural congressional district in Kentucky.
