@DrGilesPeek@SapnaKmd@pccm_doc@ELSOOrg He’s surprisingly dexterous.
Drew the line at sea creatures though.. they can only work in the under sea hospitals.
Delivery…
377 books have arrived.
Thank you to everyone who has donated. I can’t wait to deliver the books to children in hospital this #Christmas 🏥 📚 #childrenshospital#ChildrensBooks
Nurse Dotty @BooksDotty is back for Christmas! And her wonderful author, our very own paediatric intensive care nurse, Molly Watts, has pledged a book for every child in SCH over Christmas 🎄 Thank You 💙
Postcard writing in progress.
So far we’ve raised enough money for 340 books! That means more hospitals.
Any donations are still so welcome.
If you know of a children’s ward that might like some books for their patients feel free to get in contact and I’ll see what I can do.

In the midst of another lockdown with the schools shut it felt like an appropriate time for an update.
For additional up to date knowledge and information and to provide further reassurance to children who are worried that coronavirus is ongoing.
Looks like nurse Dotty isn’t the only owl that works at the hospital...
Today I went to meet Elton who helps keep unwanted guests away from the hospital. 🦉🏥
One in 25 children are affected by a genetic condition.
Sometimes our genetics mean we need extra support but that doesn’t make us any less incredible.
Luckily there’s so many incredible places to get this support like @GeneticDisUK
So join them in celebrating @jeansforgenes
@CHCharityUK@BooksDotty would like to say Thank You to everyone who has bought "Chloe the Rabbit has Hyperinsulinism". We are delighted to see so many great reviews on Amazon Smile and fantastic feedback from families. Details on how to buy: https://t.co/8CcmRasxof 🐰❤️
Bit late in the day but having just realised it’s world sepsis day it never hurts to have a reminder of the signs of sepsis in infants and children 🏥 #WorldSepsisDay#sepsisawareness
Yesterday I met a mum who had been given one of my books after her child had been on ECMO on the unit. I always feel a bit awkward - I’m much better behind the book - but it did remind me why nurse Dotty was created and why I have so much more work to do ❤️📚
It’s ready!
Ernie the Elephant needs ECMO.
A book to support children and their families in their ECMO journey.
Now available on amazon in print or ebook form.

Really excited that a recent project I’ve been working on is finally almost ready.
Watch this space for a book for children and families about Ernie who needs #ECMO.

Today I dropped this bunting off ahead of moving day tomorrow.
PICU is going back to our unit after lending it to adult ITU 128 days ago.
I wanted to represent the whole team who have shown these last 128 days that a team is more than the walls in which it works.

Molly Watts, one of our PICU nurses, has written a poem & drawn some pictures for a certificate of thanks for our student nurses.
This will be given to the students by the education team as a #thankyou for everything they have done during the #COVID19 pandemic.
