The team was missing 6 of our 11 players today but still went 1-2 at the River City Shootout at Northpointe Christian. Thanks to Chris Battley, Will Grant, & Ethan Wenzel for filling in for the day to give us 8 players
The team played great and went 3-0 in Whitmore Lake this weekend. But because of FAAST's weird scheduling practices the team went 3-0 and somehow wound up in 3rd place while a team we beat got second. Makes no sense but go figure.
Today was the 8th and final Boondocks Basketball Youth Clinic. We had 52 different basketball players attend at least one of the 8 clinics. Keep working on your game kids.
We have an action shot from the clinic this week. The players seen here are working on left handed layups. We also worked on passing and seeing ball and man on defense. We have two more clinics remaining on Feb 6th and 20th.
Today we had 24 players participate at our first clinic of 2022. Only three clinics left but there are still spots available if a 1st-8th grader wants to participate. If your interested email me at [email protected]
Boondocks Basketball Club held its last clinic of 2021 today. We had 26 players come out to participate. We are only half way done with the clinics though. We have 4 more in January and February if you would like to sign up your son or daughter there are still spots available.
Boondocks Basketball Club Clinic #3 is in the books. We had 25 players today. The next clinic is December 19th. There are still spots available. Go to https://t.co/d2T0WOwJHW or email [email protected] if you would like your son or daughter to join in on the fun.
We had 28 players attend the second Boondocks Basketball Youth Clinic today. Thanks to everyone who came out. I remembered to get a pic of the kids this time.
29 youth players came out to the first clinic today and learned about shooting and dribbling. Sorry I was so busy I did not have time to get a pic of the kids who participated like I planned to. Thanks to Coach Preston Makley for helping out and being my demonstrator.
1st Clinic is in the books. The hour really flew by. If it were up to me we would have spent the entire hour working on boxing out instead of only a few minutes. Thanks to everyone who came out. There are more spots available for next week's clinic.
After coaching 47 games this summer I am once again searching for more coaches to join my staff of one. Part Time coaches are welcome. I would like to have a pool of like minded coaches preaching the same club system to fill in when they can.
The Freshmen team finished up their summer season with a 2-3 record against some tough teams at the AYBT Nationals in Grand Rapids. I saw improvement from this team but their is still a lot of room to improve yet. I look forward to seeing them play this winter.
The varsity team finished their summer basketball season up with a 3-2 record at the AYBT Nationals in Grand Rapids. I saw a lot of improvement since the first tournament and look forward to seeing these guys play with their high school teams this winter.
The Boondocks teams will compete in their final tournament of the year this weekend. The AYBT Nationals takes place at multiple locations around Grand Rapids on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Were hoping to finish the summer season with a strong showing and go out on a good note.
The Freshmen team won the Southwest Michigan Slam this weekend. I'm very proud of them. They played very hard today. I'm also glad that we got one of these plaques since I had to go and pick them up and bring them to the tournament.
It was a rough tournament last weekend. We had a game called early due to a slippery court. We had a location change because of the slippery courts. We topped it all off with a 30 min delay because someone pulled a fire alarm. Not to mention some truly horrendous referees.
