Happy 58th Wedding Anniversary to my beautiful wife. God has blessed us with his love, love for one another, the love of our wonderful family and friends, and with so many great memories. Thank you for being my wife, and here’s to many more years together! ✝️🙏❤️
And a 26 year career of coaching Viking Golf comes to an end. Can't describe how fulfilling and wonderful it was to be the coach of this program. I am so blessed to have had GREAT players and a best friend Assistant for all of those 26 years!
Statistically, a HIGH percentage of stolen bases should be tagged to pitchers. Slow to the plate, not utilizing pick off moves enough, not varying hold times, and poor command ALL make it extremely difficult for catchers to do their part yet our catchers are tagged with the “SB against” stat.
Pitchers, let’s take pride in controlling the running game!! If you’re unsure if the runner on first has speed or not, use your slide step (load and go) delivery. Vary your looks and hold times. Work on your pick off moves in practice and use them in games.
Yes, this is a team sport and our infielders and catchers have their roles too but this part of the game starts with us!! Coaches, coach’em up!!
So proud of Mr. President @NickBuehler22. Last year at this time we were nervously waiting to hear the outcome of the state officer election. What a year it’s been!

After a two-year battle with cancer, Ilona Löwen passed away this morning, March 9, 2026.
We grieve alongside Edu and all those impacted by this loss and ask the CITY community to keep them in your prayers during this difficult time. Ilona was a beautiful example of love, humility, and kindness and will be deeply missed.
A message from the Löwen’s Pastor, Marc Sikma:
Edu and Ilona built their life on faith in Christ, and we find comfort in knowing Ilona’s suffering is over and that she is now in the eternal presence of her Savior.
It was renamed Busch Stadium, but most of us will remember it as Sportsman's Park.
Where your feet stuck to the floors in the grandstands.
Where the wood creaked and bowed.
Where kids would meet to form the knothole gang.
Where the Gashouse Gang was all the rage.
Where cigarette and cigar smoke filled the air.
Where streetcars clanged along Grand Boulevard.
Where men wore white shirts and hats.
Where ladies wore colorful dresses and bonnets.
Where the Cardinals won 7 World Championships.
Where Stan became "The Man"
Where legends played.
Where lifetime memories were made.

Happy Birthday to @drsefrit; a wonderful man, husband, dad, son, grandson, brother, uncle, friend, leader! We love you and we’re thankful for you! Enjoy your day!
We feel thankful. Yesterday, teachers and admin stayed late to keep students safe until they could get home. Bus drivers navigated snowy, slow-moving streets with care. And our facilities teams have been working to prepare our buildings for a safe return to school tomorrow.
