@jiminiebliss@KpopDAD1 The thing is, ARMY aren’t like other fans…that’s the whole point. I don’t think he’s being cancelled, but being held accountable for what he shared and did on his large platform.
IT'S ME! Just as an FYI, my degree is in Vocal Performance, so I actually do know a little something, but the 2 big standouts from Arirang for me were Tae and Hobi - both have really grown and evolved and found new/interesting ways to use their voice. Tae, in particular, there are parts of songs where I couldn't immediately tell who was singing or I was shocked that I had never heard his voice sound that way. I agree with what a lot of people said about not straining for high notes anymore - I think they realized they don't have to meet that K-Pop criteria and don't have to "prove themselves". JK and Jin have always been really consistent and that remains to be true. I really love Jimin's use of his lower register, but I have no doubt we'll see him soar with those high notes in the future. Yoongi and Joon have both grown a lot and it's nice to see them use more melodic rap like Hobi tends to do. I think it's clear that the solo journey, while difficult, did have a positive effect on all of them as vocalists, performers, and a piece of the larger group.
@SleepDeez@KeyToMagicShop@RollingStone He’s also talking about 14 ish years ago…like, let’s have some common sense. Not to mention, studying and being a fan of are not the same thing. 🤦♀️
I’m always so baffled why a Korean boy band having the things that every other musical dreams of meaning they didn’t earn it or don’t deserve it or don’t have artistry. Why are there hundreds of millions of ARMY despite not speaking the sam language? Why do we fight so hard for them?
