NEWS | Police Personnel Caught On Camera Assaulting Delivery Agent In Guwahati

A police personnel was caught on camera assaulting a delivery agent near Jail Road traffic point in Fancy Bazar on November 15. The video, recorded by a passerby, has since sparked outrage on social media.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM, according to an eyewitness. It began when the delivery agent allegedly broke a signal near Jail Road.

A police officer reportedly pursued him, dragged him to the side of the road, and started assaulting him.

In the video, the officer can be seen gripping the agent's neck and angrily questioning, "Where do you think you are going?" and "I will kill you" The situation escalated as the officer repeatedly struck the agent, ignoring pleas from onlookers.

The eyewitness who recorded the incident alleged that the officer, upon noticing the recording, turned on them, issuing threats and demanding they stop filming. Several other bystanders attempted to intervene, but the officer allegedly threatened them as well, warning them to "mind their business."

Talking to GPlus, a police official said, "The delivery agent tried to escape even after the PSO instructed him to halt. The agent was riding on towards No Entry."

- Overweight by 2.15 kg, not just 150 grams.

- Original category: 53 kg, a tough category with the world's best wrestlers.

- Focused more on politics than practice, trying to bring down the GOI.

- Bullied the Indian Wrestling Council for the 50 kg category as it was seen as easier to win. That is why she reached finals so easily.

- In March, barely made it at 52 kg, the Olympic maximum allowed overweight.

- Two weight checks before finals showed she gained 2.15 kg. So disqualified.

- She couldn't do couldn't bully the French nor her tantrums swayed the Olympics council. GOI tried their best, but Athletes are responsible for their weights.
