@jameso_12@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead I love how instead of having a conversation you just immediately called me a “fucking moron” and then instead of being able to refute anything I’ve said you just said I don’t have clue hahaha. I hope the USA win tonight and you cry yourself to sleep James🇺🇸
@FPLSportScience@jameso_12@Kevin_Kinkead He didn’t endanger an opponent. He landed off balance because the Bosnian defender knocked him over? Are you guys really this dense? It’s not his fault that the defender who also was off balance and fell over had his ankle under a natural falling position of the foot.
@jameso_12@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead I genuinely bet I’ve attended more European football matches than you have James Owens lol. Keep up with your FPL spreadsheets tho big dawg!
@FPLSportScience@jameso_12@Kevin_Kinkead Not sure why everyone keeps saying intent is irrelevant because it’s not. Referees are charged with taking everything into consideration. The original contact was caused by the Bosnian defender which caused Flo to be off balance and ultimately land on his ankle. It’s a yellow.
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead Oh my bad I must have missed the ruling that forbid other countries presidents from picking up the phone to try to advocate against a wrong done against their team. If you wanna have your conspiracy that Trump forced him to make the decision then go right ahead I won’t stop you.
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead Yes they didn’t attempt to appeal because there are no rules or guidelines that allow for an appeal process which is stupid to begin with. He did the only thing he could do to try to see if the right decision could be made and it was! USA BABY🇺🇸🦅
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead Maybe it is maybe it isn’t. I’m not interested in anything other than the correct decision ultimately being made and I believe it was now. You’re more interested in poor decisions being upheld because of a rule than the right decision being made. I just disagree with that logic.
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead They didn’t overturn it because there isn’t a proper ability to rescind it via the FIFA guidelines. The only thing that committee can do is suspend it in order to correct the situation.
Again this is not the first red card ban that has been suspended by FIFA.
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead Also not sure why we are acting like this is the first time ever FIFA have suspended a red card offense in a tournament. Because it’s not
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead Couldn’t disagree more. We can accept the fact that the referee made a bad call on the straight red and we played a man down in the Bosnia game. For it to effect the following game as well is stupid and to roll over and not correct a wrong decision because of “rules” is unjust.
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead See that’s where we differ. I’d rather the objectively correct decision be made than for it not to be allowed to be fixed because of “rules and regulations”. I know you’ve watched enough footy to know that was never a straight red card offense.
@FPLSportScience@Kevin_Kinkead Genuinely think Europeans are just programmed to accept injustice easier than Americans are. You lot complain about it in your media plenty, but would rather the wrong decision be upheld because of the “FIFA rules and guidelines” than the actual right decision be made in the end.
@cmbftbl It does matter though when it comes to determining an immediate red card and sending off. Referees are charged with using logic and reason in situations like that. It’s never a red card offense. Yellow at most. I’ve seen worse contact than that been given a yellow many times.
@cmbftbl If you watched that in real time and genuinely came to conclusion that it’s a red card offense and not just a complete accidental and natural placement of his foot landing from a jumping challenge then you truly just can’t be reasoned with. Overturning it was the right decision.
