These arguments really show the lack of awareness that America doesn’t care about soccer/football. Not to say that every top athlete could play professionally, but if culture shifted to getting kids to play and develop like other sports the USA would be one of the top countries.

Soccer is the hardest sport in the world to play. To put it in perspective you can take any active NBA/NFL player and they would not one who be able to get by me and score I haven’t touched a ball in 3 years. I’d put 100k on it.
