Do people buy art on Solana?
Truly curious.
I love the Phantom wallet, Exchange Art has a super dope site, the community seems strong.
I listed some great pieces, with plans to expand to a much larger series. Chatted in some Sol spaces, etc. Wrote up several highlight features, threads, and long tweets about the art.
My only sales were to friends who likely would've collected on ETH or Tez just as easily.
This isn't a flame post or me bitching... I'm just trying to assess where to focus my efforts for minting future works. ETH has always been strong for me. Tez, it's a bit more work for a lot less income (Yes, income! I'm a working artist. This isn't a hobby for me.) but, the community is strong and I get lots of lovely messages from people who collect my work and really enjoy them.
I was excited for Sol seemingly taking off with 1/1 art and short editions, but if the community doesn't vibe with my work or want to embrace new artists on that chain, I'll just stick with what I know.
My series featuring Cyanide Girls from the Scrap Heap is something I dedicated a lot of time and effort to. I was excited to bring it to Sol to have a robust series with many pieces and an unique aesthetic, separate from my other works, and all in one place. I've minted the first 3 of a collection I likely have about 30+ more pieces to add.
Not to mention, a couple other super strong works that are continuations of my popular Silencio collection on ETH.
Anyway, feeling a bit regretful for choosing to launch these works on Sol. I don't like regretting choices. :/
