One of my favorite spaces in the @librarycongress Thomas Jefferson Building is the Ceremonial Office that we have opened to the public to see. It has a hidden vault where the contents of Abraham Lincoln’s pockets the night of his assassination were kept.
For so, so many kids, the visual language is a far easier and more expressive way to share their thoughts and feelings. Teaching them to draw, and allowing them to use drawing in the classroom, can be an absolute game changer!
