Usually a massive fan of #RTEUpfront but that debate could of been better, seemed to talk about lots of issues but a lot of time speaking about Ukraine and I don't know many Irish people concerned about that. Seemed to dismiss the idea that we needed some sort of relationship with the North for passport control (or hard border i believe is the language they used)

And the end focused on what laws we could bring in that focused on hate targeting or targeting minorities. Which in theory I agree with, but free speech is free speech and we can all agree we don't wanna be like the UK.

Lots of you versus us coming across from the debate and I know tensions do be high around election time. I do love a debate, gets me all edgey. But politics is about policy. Government is about leading a democracy. So much you versus us, lots of lies being told if you fact check this stuff. Little accountability and lots of blame. We need to bridge the gap between left and right. Bring it more centered.
