But regardless of what happens now or in the future, I will forever say...

If Erdogan, the tyrant of Turkey, is celebrating this deal, then that's really all I need to be convinced that this was a BAD deal for the US.
God willing, Iran fucks up like they always do within a week and the deal falls apart.
All I can hope for now is for the IRGC to fuck up and break their promises, and for POTUS to give the green light to Hegseth/Military to finish the job!
In the meantime, pray for the souls of the tens of thousands of innocent Iranians about to be butchered carte blanche by...

Self-admitted desire for some schadenfreude, but meh, no big loss. I'll still remain content the Lambo SovCit got his lolsuits laughed out of court and that he's likely still getting arrested and jailed as a habitual traffic offender for driving illegally.
My one disappointment from the California Governor's Primary is that Chad Bianco didn't make it to the runoff and put CA into a situation where either way a Republican became Governor. Odds are Dems hold the CA Gov mansion which just means more continued self-immolation.

...with false and fictitious "Private" license plates who threatened multi-million dollar lolsuits against Bianco and his deputies for their doing their job in keeping the streets safe.
I would've loved to have seen that clown's face if Bianco had been sworn in as Governor.

@truefrost_oni I reflexively clinched my legs together, because I could just imagine trying to explain to the doctor how I burned my dick. XD
That's my intrusive thought for the day. XD

In that scenario we "could" have a squishy Republican President to succeed him, or worse a Democrat.
The real worst case scenario is that we've yet again kicked the can down the road, saving the Iran Question for, potentially, the next administration.
Except here's one other thing. Iran just has to play a waiting game. Wait until 2029 when Trump's not in office, then break all their promises and pick up where they left off, having spent the interim 2.5 years to rebuild and rearm.

Let's establish what the real worst case scenario is.
Trump signs some nothing deal with nonexistent enforcement mechanisms on both sides wherein we pretend that the war is over for 3 weeks until Iran inevitably fails to live up to it and this whole thing restarts.
That's it.
The problem is that we're dealing with a regime that has, every single time a deal has been reached, they've failed to uphold their end of the bargain. They always do, they always lie. We're dealing with a regime that is built around Taqiyya and believe it is okay to lie.

🚨 Breaking: Details of the agreed MOU, based on my sources:
- Formal end of the war on all fronts (Lebanon included)
- The Strait of Hormuz will fully reopen
- Iran will not charge transit fees
- The US will not pay any money to Iran
- Partial sanctions relief on Iranian oil
- 60 days to negotiate nuclear issues and sanctions relief (the two are tied together: more sanctions relief for more nuclear concessions)
- Iran declares it will not develop nuclear weapons
- Both sides acknowledge understanding the other's demands on nuclear issues
Trump's rationale is that if an agreement on nuclear issues is not reached, all options will be on the table, and Iran will be significantly weaker economically and militarily than before the war.

The absolute best solution is to help overthrow the IRGC as described, install Shah Reza Pahlavi, and negotiate with him. But, a non-islamic Iran would by default be more reliable and the "nuclear question" would be moot.
But that's not what we're getting right now.
