BREAKING NEWS … Namibia Air has received its air operating licences effective from 6 August for five years. The transport commission handed over the licences to minister of works and transport Veikko Nekundiband the Namibia Air committee. The licences allow Namibia Air to acquire aircrafts, with the first flight scheduled to take off in the first week of December. Update: Shania Lazarus

JUST IN: The bail application of Dennis Iipinge Noa (31) was postponed in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court today.
Noa is a medical doctor at the Onandjokwe state Hospital. He faces a charge of sexual assault allegedly committed at his residence at Onandjokwe Hospital.
Defence lawyer Beatrix Bianca Boois told Magistrate Nelao ya France that the defence was not ready to proceed as consultations with the accused were still pending.
State Prosecutor Aina Magano Mwaala submitted that investigations are ongoing and the state is still awaiting 6 witness statements, a photo plan, and 3 forensic results.
The matter was postponed to 8-11 September 2026 for a formal bail application. Noa remains in custody.
