While we had no interest in getting involved in this, we would like to correct one bit (of what we can assume are many pieces) of stated misinformation. Posted by Dennis in the comments. The BotCon 1994 Breakdown was NOT overstock. Hasbro ran 25 cases of that figure after the Hartman brothers chose the limb they wanted as an exclusive for that first show.

If you can’t even get the basic facts about the original convention right, it kind of calls in to question everything one might say about the one you hosted 30 years ago.

Also, for the record. Frenzy was blue. If you were toy minded. If you were cartoon based, Frenzy was red. It’s that simple.

Also worth noting, Nexus Maximus is now a ‘safe’ word. It is also an RV. We are in the year 2026 people, and the Maximus has be returned to the machines of the road and sky.

The ‘crazy’ part of this is when I first proposed in late 2004 the yet to be named original 13 Prime character (with Simon Furman’s blessing) the initial idea was that the center part was the Prime, the limbs, drones. Forest Lee reworked it to the split in to 5 parts story. ->

This past weekend at BotCon we celebrated the Transformers 40th/30th/25th milestones. Hasbro is in full TFTM Apology tour mode with various events next week at SDCC. But today we celebrate the 20th anniversary of arguably the best riff on Transformers media ever.
