These girls are going to give me an ear full for posting this picture, but it sums up life. Sometimes you fall short of your goals and you have to smile through the hurt.

Tonight we watched this team fall behind early in a game and they could have phoned it in and accepted defeat. Instead they picked each other up and battled until the last out. These are the moments where character develops. These are the moments that will make you champions in life. Karlee Seitz laid her body on the line, Jerzie Schindler continued to lead even though she was most certainly crushed inside, Caleigh Botsch, Celeste Moser and Hallie Rutherford all continued to come up clutch at the plate. Kamryn Wright continued to be a dugout leader and ran her tail off. Those seniors earned the respect of all who gathered to cheer them on. We thank them all for the memories they have left us with from their time in a Bison softball jersey.

This is a team that also has some young talent, a good amount of young talent. Payton Burbach showed that tonight as she battled time and time again. This team may not have finished the journey the way they had planned, but they sure knew how to “b-a-t-t-l-e, battle for me baby, battle, battle”. Thank you all for a great season to cover and memories that I will never forget. -Ryan
