I think TPOT gets way too much hate on this app but I don't really think this is valid? The writers of the show are capable of messing up characterization (South Park has been written by the same people for 28 seasons and the characters are barely written properly nowadays)
The closest there is to a good joke here is "Onigiri...y", bro, calm down.
Perfectly valid to miss early TPOT but let's not act like it's the Hamlet of the OSC or something.
The funny thing that very few people remember is that Icy was a yapping machine ever since Season 1 Episode 1 and the only reason that changed is because Cary lost the pipes to give her new lines and they didn't know any other viable VAs back then.
@FurretWalk Something about this always bothered me, for a person watching chronologically, it’ll be so weird to see her yap in BFDIA, then go back to being mute in BFB and early TPOT, and suddenly start speaking again in TPOT 5😭
Whats funnier about this scene is that right after it we get a scene that looks 10x better for no reason
genuinely, were they even trying, or were they trying to make "BFB 18: Take the Tower M.A.P"
One thing I really wish TPOT 12 did was have the character react to suddenly having to compete against their old teammates and friends. Like Needle has no problem beating the hell out of Donut and Barf Bag like they weren’t just chill 2 hours ago.
istg 90% of pre hiatus fans are either nostalgia blinded or larpers because bfdia 6-12 perfectly replicated what made pre hiatus so good and look what everyone thinks of it
This scene is really bad yes I agree
But also I generally find the entire Match and Bubble arc to be horribly written from start to end so to me it just registers as a horribly written ending to a horribly written arc
