Proprioception is the body's awareness of its position and movement in space. When rebounding, the joints and muscles send signals to the brain, strengthening the neural pathways for body awareness.

Natalie recommends activities that also support sensory-motor integration, which goes hand in hand with skills development (for example, vestibular, auditory, interoceptive and proprioceptive systems).
