Americans have had enough of radical Muslims in their country
“Here's what Jihadis have done in the US in the last week:
- One shoots up a bar in Austin, Texas kills 2 shoots, 14
- Another one lights a Molotov cocktail and throws it at Christians in New York City
- Another one throws a nail bomb or shrapnel IED at Christians in New York City
- Another one tries to bomb a Southwest flight going from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale
- Another one throws another IED shouting Allahu Akbar at a protest near Gracie Mansion in New York City
- Another one makes a bomb threat and forces a plane to land in Atlanta
1 Another one drops a bomb threat at Kansas City Airport
- and the DHS is reporting that jihadi threats against churches across the U.S right now are completely exploding
Radical Islam, for some reason, is the one religion that the left will fight for until their dying breath, for whatever reason, and Christianity is somehow always the problem. Funny how that works.”

After watching this short clip, I watched the full interview from my friend Dr. Abdullah bin Ali interviewing Shaik Umar Vadillo on money and mentioning Bitcoin. (Link in comments)
Shaik Umar has some great views on fiat and makes a solid case as to why it is evil and Islamically haram.
It’s too bad he understands that fiat is riba but doesn’t see the solution right before his eyes in Bitcoin.
Most people disagree with him on fiat — I don’t even mention that Fiat is riba with most Muslims because most Muslims, including financial scholars disagree with Shaik Unmar on this as well as people like Mu'aawiyah Tucker and others who say this.
Many Muslims are tradition bound and deferential to authority - this can greet a blind spot in understanding and accepting money that is non governmental like Bitcoin or accepting that all modern government money is based on evil. They are tied up in fiat and think things like Dr Ali mentioned in the interview: “money can only be issued by government authority” which not logically accurate and doesn’t seem to be grounded in Islamic finance principles.
So Umar is solid on fiat — but when it comes to Bitcoin Shaik Umar contradicts himself —- a few times earlier in the interview he defined money as a commodity that people choose to transact in — which is exactly what Bitcoin is.
He doesn’t explain why he doesn’t think Bitcoin is a commodity or fit the definition of commodity. He also doesn’t explain why he says Bitcoin is a scam. Calling Bitcoin a scam of course will put lots of Bitcoiners on defense and make them less likely to listen to the rest of the message.
Umar mentioned Bitcoin it’s controlled by people we don’t know. This isn’t accurate - Bitcoin isn’t really controlled by anyone other than node runners/ people who use the software. So we do know exactly who ‘controls’ Bitcoin — it’s everyone who uses it and decides what software to run. It’s totally open and without central control. Thinking there is some leader or developer who can change Bitcoin is just not true. I can change Bitcoin today but it wouldn’t be Bitcoin anymore and no one would run that software.
Umar also mentioned that Bitcoin is a US based concept & eluded to it being a US tool - but Bitcoin is global and permissionless - the US has no power or influence.
Shaik Umar is similar to Peter Schiff and other gold bugs. They get that fiat is evil. But they get so focused on gold that they forget why they liked gold in the first place.
Umar also mentioned Bitcoin being used for money laundering. I am not aware of “money laundering” being part of Islamic law. This seems an invented crime by governments where the only victim is governments. Privacy seems a much more important theme in the Quran and Islam so someone against the government should side against the man and for privacy. Unfortunately as a side note, Bitcoin is not as privacy focused as it could & should be - but that’s another convo.
The topic of Bitcoin and Islamic finance is a fascinating one and one of the greatest concepts we can discuss today.
Muslims who believe fiat is evil and that God forbids riba have plenty of evidence to point to as to why fiat is evil. Saifdean’s The Fiat Standard covers these in detail. Personally I agree that fiat is evil and I think Bitcoin is a solution. It is fascinating to think of the concept of a divine message warning humans about the evils of fiat - even more so if this solution is Bitcoin.
