Because not every struggling child is simply unwilling, some are carrying battles we cannot see.

I say this every time...
Homework is not meant to prove intelligence.
It is meant to show practice.
If your child struggles with homework, it may not be failure.
It may just mean the lesson was not fully understood in class.

If your students can write your notes word-for-word…
But cannot explain the same idea differently…
You are not teaching understanding.
You are training memory.
And memory is not education.

Earlier today, I started my volunteer service as a Part-time English language teacher at my old school, Ikolaba Grammar.

I was so excited that I couldn't wait for Tuesday to come.

On getting to the school, the good old memories started flashing through my mind.

This is why I've left all, just to ensure I give to these ones, what I wished someone had given me.

So instead of complaining that government is not doing the right thing, I would rather contribute my own quota towards significant development in the education sector.
