@PolitlcsUK I was told we brought in millions of migrants to pay our pensions. Why would the government increase the pension age? The pension pot should be flush with cash now. 🙄
Liam Neeson says he couldn’t watch Fifty Shades of Grey, then reveals he once filmed a love scene with ex Helen Mirren that never made the Final Cut.
Liam Neeson: I can’t watch those films because I used to swing Dakota around at the age of two. I just can’t see her as an adult.
Jamie Dornan: I think I’ve swung her around a wee bit.
Jamie Dornan: For guys, you get a wee pouch… it looks like something Robin Hood would carry coins in.
Jamie Dornan: I took it off, and it had a little stitch on the side that said, ‘Inmate number .
Liam Neeson: Helen and I had a love scene… and it was cut out.
Alec Baldwin’s Instagram “tribute” to his Red October Co Star Sam Neill, where he spends almost 3 minutes talking about his own filmography & every other actor in October who isn’t Sam Neill might be the most unintentionally funny thing I’ve ever watched
Terrifying scenes in the Commons Chamber as the Labour Government "fiddle things", so Andy Burnham will not face any scrutiny before taking office.
Business Statement: Leader of the House
Excuse me, @ZiaYusufUK?
You call me “disgraced”. I was the victim of discriminatory laws in the 1980s & later falsely accused of serial child murder & sexual abuse. The only disgrace here is your attempt to weaponise those injustices for political point-scoring & blind loyalty.
You call me “depraved” simply because I disagree with you. I have nothing to apologise for. I have consistently said that no one should speculate about the motive for Ann Widdecombe’s tragic death while the police investigation is under way - including politicians.
I appreciate you feel obliged to defend your party leader. But the rule of law, justice - & respect for Ann’s memory - must come before party loyalty.
Respecting the police & the rule of law is not disgraceful; it is the responsible course of action.
Moreover, @Nigel_Farage is perfectly entitled to his views. Equally, I am entitled to mine. What he & his colleagues are not entitled to do is seek to silence or abuse those who express a different opinion. Calling me “depraved” because I criticised Mr Farage’s public speculation is no substitute for reasoned debate. Ann, a lifelong champion of free speech, would never have resorted to such personal abuse.
As someone who describes themselves as ‘shadow home secretary’, I thought you’d appreciate all of the above.
Andy Burnham left Greater Manchester £1.34 billion in the red – the highest debt of any combined authority in England, analysis shows. https://t.co/2RE01e8KeW
Breaking News🇬🇧⚡️: "This is British Police at their BEST". Devon and Cornwall Police Chief Constable James Vaughan.
This was the summary yesterday from Devon & Cornwall Police Chief Constable James Vaughan and his own boastful assessment of his squads performance over the murder investigation of Reform politician Ann Widdecombe.
For the past 3 days James and his team have reported that the both suspects were separately not thought to be terrorists or be politically motivated.
Today he was relieved of his lead on the case, replaced by the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood and control given over to the Anti-Terrorism Police.
Here is Lucy Powell, embarrassingly trying to lecture @AllisonPearson about her "language".
This is the same Lucy Powell who publicly attempted to shut down debate about Pakistani rape gangs by calling it a "dog whistle".
Lucy is part of the problem.
Eye-watering hypocrisy.
🚨🇬🇧Keir Starmer left RATTLED when letter emerges proving he is LYING
During Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons, Stephen Flynn rubbishes Keir Starmer’s claim that he was not aware of the facts before appointing Matthew Doyle as a peer, with a letter from a committee that confirm they ‘provided advice’ to the Prime Minister before the appointment.
