2 brittany dogs living & loving life! Bowie is orange & Chip is chocolate!
@marris116 is the humom who is a school librarian trying to get kids to love reading.
@bunsenbernerbmd That makes sense. His safety is so important. Not only of course, for your family's sake, but all of us who rely on his goofy happiness. Whenever my dog does something goofy and silly, his name is Chip, I call him Chipanoulli!
The dog signal has now gone out.

It’s Canada Day and I thought it was fitting to give you all an update.
About three years ago my parents were one of many Canadian families who welcomed Ukrainians fleeing a war.
It was a mother and daughter who fled bombs and destruction and found safety in our country.
They arrived each with a suitcase and backpack holding their entire lives and I n a different country with a different language.
The daughter worked incredibly hard to learn more English, and find a place in school.
The mother who knew virtually no English worked hard to learn and find a job.
It wasn’t long after arrival that my mom sadly died of a freak brain infection which was devastating.
Through my father’s grief he championed the Ukraine duo.
Jane moved from remedial English classes to advanced sciences.
Marina’s English improved and found a place for the two of them to move into this year.
Jane graduated this week on the honor roll.
Jane also applied to become a Canadian and was accepted.
She IS now Canadian.
She will be attending post secondary this fall.
Our family has only helped a little in their lives, and my dad has been their rock.
Canada is kindness, and as we are proud of our country, we are so proud of my dad for being so kind.
We are also so proud of the Ukrainian refugees.
Scratch that.
We are proud of Jane and Marina our fellow Canadians.
@bunsenbernerbmd I love this so much and honestly, I am so thankful that I found your account so many years ago. Between posts like this and everything I've learned and loved about your family and animals, it is always such a positive thing that shows up in my feed exactly when I need it.
