Howdy!
If you've reached this scheduled post, I've signed off and put my password away. You can find me at the link in my profile and several people in the Bowtied Jungle have my number if you need me.
Realizations:
-I built up a lot of good will having private conversations with people on here about addiction. I used that good will to sell myself as a "free" all-in-one filmic solo act, something that i truly hate doing, for jungle products. I got a lot of stuff for free and wondered why i wasn't proud of any of the pics or video i made of it. And then i got to make my movie. And through cast and crew members telling me how surprising it was that i was a "first time" director because of how well everything went, i realized "oh i hate doing solo product photo/video because i thrive as the head of a team of collaborators, not because i actually suck at it."
-The principles of Law of Attraction in its various forms are 100% real and spoken about by God and in every religious tradition. And the ratio of "aligned" to "cortisol spiking" in terms of X accounts and content isn't good for building the life I want.
-I am extremely easily distracted. But i CAN brute force focus and discipline. I've made far too little progress in all arenas of my life since making this account.
-I have a poor relationship with boundaries that needs working on, and i often offer things to people for free that i spend "did it for free" time and effort on, and that's soured a lot of my relationships on here
Stuff i'll be doing/goals:
-my first movie is almost done, it should be released in about 9 months. My executive producer and some other friends have talked at length about a few "movie #2" options
-i have a few youtube channels I've been shooting and developing for, i'll be working on them
-I'm developing a documentary short series for another account that i'm super passionate about
-writing a couple different bubstacks
-pitching a "bigger" movie to some seriously rich folks and friends with money
-working on the eventual funding/opening of an addiction recovery center of nebulous detail
-writing ebooks and shit to sell to business owners
All of this has kinda crept up on me in the past few months as the movie has gone through its post-production process but most of it is either fully in motion or getting close. And yet some days when i'm tired i sit on x app dot com and fully take the rage bait cause i'm not super smart.
So like i said if you wanna talk addiction recovery or film production, feel free to hit me up on bubstack or get my number from somebody, but i'm signed off for a while.
Thanks for all the love and opportunities.
Tonight this account goes bye bye. Will still post recovery stuff on bubstack.
I misused a lot of good will this community gave me and didn’t give my best to those who trusted me to do stuff for them.
And I figured out why. So I gotta change life drastically. Good luck have fun.
@mark_collins09 Just a revelation I had recently about the way my anon energy and good will has been improperly used (by me) over and over again. Have a few doxxed things that’ll stay in their limited current forms.
Bears mentioning since I’m nuking this account soon and this will be lost forever, but Nick Corirossi is probably one of the all-time all-out cinephile geniuses of our lifetime
And he will never get the budgets or recognition he deserves.
Napa Boys is truly special.
Initial The Napa Boys Thoughts:
What starts off as a seemingly one note yet clever premise turns into an absurdist parody of 2000s adult comedies as a whole. A surprisingly dark reflection that plays out like a cliche ladened nightmare. It’s a laugh a minute riot.
Last couple weeks have been trying something. Alternated between:
A) yuge fat/protein breakfast>work>carbs>gym
B) carbs>gym>big carb/protein meal>work
On A days I’ve gotten way more work done and felt better in the gym longer
On B days, I lift a bit heavier, no work done.
Hmm
have you noticed the "cynical guy who hates everything and tries to tell people why they shouldn't enjoy anything" archetype has been making a big comeback the last few months?
Like "14 year old atheist" guy. "Reddit guy"? Reddit guy.
I have a friend who made a movie who had to pay a pretty bad actor over $20K for 6hrs of work because they just had some stuff released that was hitting that increased their leverage.
the thing is over
forgive yourself, whatever it was.
you're different moment to moment. You're better than whatever the thing was. it's okay. forgive yourself.
Well, it *was* fun. At one point was like 30ish minutes of just like the exact type of violence you want in a Punisher anything, except done the way that only the Bernthal-era punisher does.
Michael Jackson watched Rush Hour 2 and immediately called Chris Tucker
He said, ‘Is this Chris Tucker?’
Tucker said, ‘Yeah… who’s this?’
The voice said, ‘This is Michael Jackson.’
Tucker said, ‘What’s up, Mike?’
Michael said, ‘I just called to tell you — I saw Rush Hour 2… and you’re kicking with the wrong leg. Stop making me look bad.’”
Then it started the friendship.
