@usscunningham @Kil787 Yes because face coverings reduce droplet spread. This has been a medical practice way before COVID. It is very hard to spit on someone (droplets) when you are wearing a face covering.

@usscunningham @Kil787 And to be honest I am fearful of a stronger strain of the flu. Because COVID is nothing compared to what epidemiologists believe can be disastrous to humankind: a bird flu mutation. But the fact is that COVID is unarguably not a flu. A coronavirus is not an influenza virus.

@usscunningham @Kil787 You're spreading incorrect statements man. Please listen to actual statistics. Health agencies record all causes of deaths, flu related AND covid. It has only been 8 months and the amount of worldwide COVID deaths has surpassed flu deaths estimates for a year WITH a lockdown.

@usscunningham @Kil787 Champ what is your point? You're pointing out biased articles and sensationalism based titles to get a point across? The death toll is ~3-5%. Speaking from an epidemiological background, that is a serious death rate. It doesn't have to be double digits

@usscunningham Btw the flu deaths are bad too but it's mortality rate is significantly less than COVID and there's no end goal to social distance for that since it mutates so often.

Possibly because COVID tests aren't 100% accurate. And even if so there is the possibility a corner man can obtain infection after being tested, regardless of how strict they were distancing.

@jamesboxwriter It causes contrecoup damage to the brain. An uppercut is not ideal in that situation. Barrera's head was rotating to the left so the shot that would do the most damage would be a right hook. But a right hook is less likely to be drawn back in time to block the left hook

@jamesboxwriter I am a boxer. That was a straight with intention to go through the target. Ward is just fast enough to withdraw his right to defend from the hook in time. He's not just throwing a short right with no intention to go through

@jamesboxwriter A shot without full extension can be just as damaging as one with full extension if the opponents momentum is going towards the punch (e.g Gonzalez vs SSR).

Taking a partial shot or two to deliver an extremely flush shot IS a highlight imo
