NEW BALANCE OPENS NEW LONDON BRAND HUB IN A HISTORIC BUILDING
New Balance has opened a new brand hub at 60 Short’s Gardens in Covent Garden, London, bringing its performance, lifestyle, and footwear heritage together under one roof.
The restored Victorian building once generated electricity for the carbon arc lights that illuminated London’s historic theatre district. Now, it has a new purpose as a space for the brand to connect with athletes, partners, media, and the wider industry.
Inside, dedicated areas showcase New Balance’s running, football, and tennis collections, alongside its lifestyle range. A new “Made In” lounge also highlights the craftsmanship behind its premium Made collections, including footwear produced at the brand’s Flimby factory in the UK.
Rather than operating as a traditional retail store, the hub will host product previews, brand events, and meetings with ambassadors and commercial partners.
The opening adds to New Balance’s growing presence in London and reinforces the city’s importance to its European strategy. 👟

⚡ RED BULL LAUNCHES ITS OWN FITNESS RACING COMPETITION
Red Bull is moving beyond sponsorship and into the fitness racing arena with the launch of the Red Bull Power Race, a bodyweight-focused competition that has completed its debut season across Southeast Asia.
Unlike HYROX, which combines running with functional workout stations, Power Race strips things back to running and basic bodyweight exercises. Athletes tackle four 400-metre laps, completing sets of push-ups, sit-ups, and squats between each lap.
The inaugural season featured national qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur, Yangon, Jakarta, and Bangkok before the International Final took place in Bangkok on October 18.
Athletes from across the region competed for national pride, with Red Bull Malaysia taking home the Nations Trophy.

🏋️ GYMSHARK IS OPENING ITS FIRST-EVER PUBLIC GYM IN MIAMI
Gymshark is making the move from fitness apparel into physical fitness spaces, with its first public gym, the Gymshark Lifting Club, set to open in Wynwood, Miami, in January 2027.
The brand has revealed the first look at the building’s exterior, featuring bold artwork that reflects Wynwood’s creative identity. The 19,700-square-foot facility will be located at 2050 North Miami Avenue, following Gymshark’s signing of a 10-year lease.
According to CEO Ben Francis, Miami was a natural choice thanks to the city’s lifting culture and the success of previous Gymshark Lift events, which have attracted more than 20,000 attendees.
The interior and full range of facilities have yet to be revealed, but the opening could mark a major new chapter for the fitness brand, with potential for further locations in the future.

🚨 HYROX AND WORLD TRIATHLON PARTNER TO ESTABLISH HYBRID RACING
HYROX and World Triathlon have announced a landmark partnership to establish Hybrid Racing as an official discipline within the World Triathlon family, opening a new pathway for elite competition and potentially future Olympic and Paralympic participation.
Under the agreement, HYROX will exclusively operate the official World, Continental, and National Championships for elite athletes in the Ultimate format, which follows the familiar structure of eight 1km runs paired with eight functional fitness stations.
The partnership aims to build an internationally recognised competitive framework, with both organisations working toward introducing Hybrid Racing at multi-sport events as a step toward potential Olympic and Paralympic inclusion.
Three formats are planned: Ultimate, Fast, and Ultra, catering to different styles and demands of hybrid competition.
For everyday HYROX athletes, however, nothing changes. Mass-participation events will continue as usual, remaining at the heart of the sport.
