@ChefDevan gave us a great tip tonight at our Virtual Family Cooking Night! With onion frying, don’t be afraid to do a little crying! And for the best results, use a sharp knife, ensure slices are cut evenly, and use the “claw” method to protect your fingers as seen in the photo!
During our Virtual Family Cooking Night we not only made yummy dishes, but we learned things too! @ChefDevan taught us new vocabulary such as “julienne,” “crudités” and “serrated.” Some students who had never had rapini or shied away from caramelized onions said, “More Please!”
