Today was a bittersweet as we said farewell to a great scientist and lab member, @linzhou0515. I am so proud of what you accomplished in the lab. Your research has fundamentally changed the way we conceptualize senescence in cancer. Best of luck in your next journey with @Zihai!
Do acquired mutations that drive tumorigenesis also contribute to immune evasion that promotes progression and therapy resistance? In a recent study published online @CR_AACR, @katcmurph created new mouse models of prostate cancer to address this question.

How can senescent cells, which are damaged and growth arrested, both block tumor initiation as well as fuel its growth? A recent study published online @CD_AACR from @linzhou0515 in the lab uncovered some new insights into this puzzle.

I also want to thank all the audiences for the questions and comments. Also special thanks to my section chair @isteaus and her generosity for providing the lottery on next year’s registration fee waiver!
It is a huge honor to be selected by the cochairs for the talk and I really appreciate it! @AACR
I would also like to give a huge shout out to my mentor Marcus and all my lab mates supporting me today. @Marcus_Ruscetti
Congrats to graduate student @BoyangMa1218 for his poster being chosen for an oral presentation during the last plenary session at #AACRPan25! Thanks to the organizers for giving Boyang this opportunity. He is doing cool work at the interface of CAF, senescence, and RAS biology.

For those attending #AACRPan25, be sure to check out these posters being presented this evening by 3 talented graduate students in our lab @ChaitanyaParik@BoyangMa1218. Thanks to the PCA for supporting their attendance at the conference!
4 more years! 4 more years! Celebrated the lab's 4th anniversary last week. With this amazing group I have no doubt we will be here for another 4 years and beyond.
Just received the NoA for the lab's 1st R01! On top of this we were fortunate enough to be converted to an R37, giving us 2 extra years of funding. Could not have done this without great mentors, collaborators, and our team. Feels unbelievable to know we are funded through 2031!
It was great to participate in the @UMassCancerWalk this year with the Ruscetti and Pitarresi labs and other researchers @UMassCancerCtr. Special thanks to the event and team organizers, and to all who donated to support cancer research. Milo even got to lead the survivor's lap!
The Pitarresi lab participated in the @UMassCancerCtr Cancer Walk with many other cancer research labs @UMassChan Medical School this morning! It was a great event, and a fantastic way to join with the local community and help support our cancer research!
