🏴 A 13-year-old orphaned girl told staff she felt unsafe, but her request to move was DENIED.
JK Rowling just offered to pay for her day in court.
The girl, the only female in the unit, was placed at St Mary's Kenmure in Glasgow alongside 11 boys aged 15-17, all older teenage offenders. She had committed no crime.
When she asked to move to an empty houseblock, the answer was "no."
The case was documented by the Council of Europe's committee for the prevention of torture after an inspection last year.
Rowling took to X: "Who does it hurt if we make every space mixed-sex? This is who it hurts: the most vulnerable, those without power and influence, the invisible people politicians don't bother to consider when chasing likes and photo ops."
She then posted a link to her women's fund and offered to cover legal costs for the girl or anyone acting on her behalf.
The world's most successful children’s author is helping kids with more than just great reading material.

Sorry if this offends you, but having been born and raised in a Muslim-ruled country with a deep knowledge of Islam, I would pick a Christian-majority country without hesitation.
A huge part of Western civilization and its values, freedom, individual rights, etc, stems directly from Christian principles.
If you want to fundamentally change that, then, respectfully, get out and move to a Muslim country.
I have been ordered to pay $95,000 in "damages" to two men in women's sport because I apparently hurt their feelings. It is potentially going to be doubled because I didn't pay in 30 days. So that is $190,000 in total to reward two men in women's sport. I am appealing in the NSW Supreme Court, so for now, there is a stay on the orders.
@salltweets has been ordered to pay a man $20,000 for not allowing him on her female only app. His hurt feelings claim is hoping to be challenged in the High Court. Sall is still waiting to see if leave will be granted for the appeal.
Jasmine Sussex could have to pay up to $95,000 to a man with hurt feelings who falsely claimed he could breastfeed a tiny baby. Her case is still to be heard by a Queensland tribunal.
None of these numbers include the court costs which run into millions.
Others have lost jobs, been censored, gaslit or threatened if they speak the truth or object to the lie that men can be women.
Men who wish they were women not only want to dominate our sports, spaces and services, they are also trying to make money as they go. It appears quite lucrative if they succeed.
Stand with us. Men are not women and we should never be penalized for stating the facts - especially in court where evidence and facts are meant to be paramount.
🚨 🚨 Let's make these guys famous!
This one is called Luke Lawrence, I need the names of the other ones.
There's a charity that helps disabled children called "Learning Through Motion" this charity does amazing work and they help as many kids as they can.
They recently got a new premises and obviously the budget is tight.
It all needed plastering so these 4 turned up and did the unthinkable!
They did all the plastering completely free!
Have they got Bills to pay? Yes
Have they got family's to feed? Yes
Is being self employed hard? Yes
But they still dropped everything and went and did it at their own expense!
Let's make sure these good men get the recognition they deserve!
I don't know these guys but it would be a pleasure to shake each of their hands.
If you know them tag them in!
If you appreciate them then share this post!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we repaid their kindness with a few nice words and hopefully this post gets them enough work to see the year out on a high ❤️
Absolute legends
Restore Britain’s policy plans for the next few months.
Detailed comprehensive papers on…
- Our economic approach.
- Our immigration ‘red list’.
- Our plan to abolish interest on student loans.
- Our policy to restore financial services.
- Our approach to fixing the prison crisis.
All on top of recent papers on policing, energy and of course the independent Rape Gang Inquiry report.
With mass deportations, abolishing inheritance tax, self defence, British pubs and plenty more already covered.
Putting in the time to detail with precision exactly how we will Restore Britain.
Providing the electorate with a clear plan.
This is what Britain needs.
Today Conservatives voted to stop rapists, paedophiles and child groomers being released from prison early.
Reform, Lib Dems, and nearly all Labour MPs couldn’t be bothered to vote.
While Farage threw a hissy fit, Conservatives were protecting women and girls.
Not true 👇Uniform is the number one way school leaders improve behaviour across schools.
This policy prevents schools from improving- disadvantaged kids suffer.
Bridget is hurting the kids she says she wants to help.🙄
What is going on with Labour and social media?
The Free Speech Union has been discussing internally whether Andy Burnham will be better or worse than Sir Keir Starmer when it comes to free speech.
We’ve concluded that he’ll be just as bad — if not worse.
Andy Burnham’s team has confirmed that he will push ahead with Starmer’s controversial social media ban for under-16s. We also know that the Technology Secretary, Liz Kendall, is looking into a potential ban on VPNs, which would put the UK in the same league as Iran, Iraq and North Korea.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport, led by Burnham ally and constituency neighbour Lisa Nandy, has also published a Green Paper, Watch This Space, which proposes forcing social media companies to prioritise the promotion of what the Government deems to be “trustworthy” news sources — namely content from public service broadcasters such as the BBC.
There is no evidence that Andy Burnham would abandon these plans when he enters Downing Street in just 13 days’ time.
This is a deeply concerning proposal and an extraordinary interference with freedom of association and free speech on social media — one that the Free Speech Union opposes wholeheartedly.
In another full-frontal assault on free speech and our right to engage in open political debate online, Labour’s Deputy Leader and close Burnham ally Lucy Powell wants to impose new legal duties through the Representation of the People Bill that would effectively treat private citizens as broadcasters and censor social media platforms during election periods.
This raises serious practical questions. Would individuals be prevented from expressing political views on social media during elections? The Free Speech Union also cannot see how such restrictions could realistically apply only to UK citizens. Surely they would have to extend to overseas users as well? President Trump and JD Vance would almost certainly have something to say about that.
This all seems to be part of Labour’s explanation for why it is struggling in the polls. Rather than recognising that people are concerned about issues such as mass uncontrolled migration, higher taxes, unemployment and soaring energy bills, Labour ministers appear to believe that voters are simply being misled by misinformation and disinformation on platforms such as X.
Last Thursday, Lisa Nandy flounced off X, citing an increase in abuse and the spread of misinformation and disinformation.
If Government ministers — particularly those responsible for the media — are concerned about misinformation, they should remain on the platform and challenge it. Trying to suppress it is not the answer.
As Louis Brandeis famously said, “The remedy to harmful speech is more speech, not enforced silence.”

Restore Britain will stand in the Clacton by-election.
The second one, held later this year, when the investigations into Farage’s finances conclude as we all suspect they will.
We are not going to participate in a Reform-sponsored media circus over the summer months that is designed to puff up Farage’s ego and deflect away from wholly fair questions over why he has concealed such vast and irregular financial donations.
Farage can play with his toys for the next six weeks, but Restore Britain is going to continue producing detailed policy papers, exactly as we have been, outlining how we can fix our country.
That is what I am interested in.
Detail. Data. Policy.
A plan.
I feel for the people of Clacton who deserve so much better than this unnecessary sham forced on them throughout their summer.
Stop blaming the triple lock.
Millions of working age people are not in jobs, training or education at a cost of unsustainable billions.
Let’s start by cutting the welfare bill and leave pensioners alone.

What frustrates me the most is the loss of critical thinking of those in power. How was pretending that biology wasn’t real ever going to work out well? Or ignoring that bad men will use bad rules to do bad things & ignoring that it was always going to be women paying the price for stupidity.

After his adopted team’s World Cup win Sunday, Michael Harris II showed up at Truist Park garbed in England gear.
“I'm invested, watching the whole game and biting my nails at the end.”
Great expose by Mail on Sunday. The Labour ministers and MPs airbrushing their private education out of their entries in Who's Who. There 's something pretty dishonest & sinister about that.
It's good to see Robert Jenrick raise the case of 20 years old, Cody Harper, in the House of Commons.
This is a huge injustice, and yet another example of what many people see as two tier policing in Britain.
The more this case is discussed in Parliament, the harder it becomes to ignore.
An invader wandering around Kingstanding threatening old ladies in broad daylight.
I know the area well, I did meet and greets in Kingstanding a few years ago, top people who don't stand for this sort of nonsense.
The invader was lucky the police got him first.
