Sadly, @JimBartko1 passed away yesterday. We are all heartbroken. Jim, you have impacted so many lives, you will be deeply missed.

I wrote this book to recount my life and the things I had gone through. At the beginning I never thought I would share it with the world. But after talking with close friends I believe my story could help others who have suffered for as long as I have. #BoyintheMirror

My counselor recommended I do 4 things:
1. Write a letter to myself as a kid
2. Contact my best friend (a Kiesle survivor)
3. Write my life down - start to finish
4. Decide what to do now - I knew my silence allowed others to be hurt, so I became an advocate

Today, along with my attorneys @AndersonCause and Rick Simons, we announced a lawsuit against the Diocese of Oakland and Father Steve Kiesle. Although today is the first day we have come out with the lawsuit I have been affected by this for over 4 decades. #BoyintheMirror
