LIH Management has taken note of a post made on Saturday 26th September 2026 by the Convener, MpaOgbuji Favour, which contained remarks widely viewed as diminishing and disparaging to the Igbo people. Although the post has since been deleted and an apology issued, we recognize that words carry weight, especially when they come from someone who represents a community built around this very identity.

The views expressed in that post do not represent the official position of LIH. After careful consideration, the team has decided to suspend MpaOgbuji Favour from all LIH platforms and activities, pending further review, and to step down from heading the community for the time being.

This decision is not about personal attacks. It is about protecting the values, integrity, and sense of belonging that LIH represents. Lagos Igbo Hangout is a community built on Igbo identity, culture, unity, and pride. It is bigger than any individual.
