@japan_nobunaga I think that guy is just crazy. But it is odd that an exception is made for carrying weapons based on religion. That part seems very wrong. Either all law abiding have access to self defense or none. I'd side with everyone getting to carry one.
@Bobbydefenceacc@Stevenmorris66@colinrtalbot As far as culture, British right to bear arms predates the kirpan by a decade. Formalized in the English Bill of Rights of 1689. Kirpan formally introduced by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.
@kompromatfinder Are people attacking them or the double standard on weapons? As I think the real problem is that every law abiding citizen can't carry protection.
@RamblingSingh England should just allow everyone to have a sword. Kirpans were originally about 30 inches. And swords were historically popular in England.
@OliLondonTV The right to bear arms comes from British common law formalized in the English Bill of Rights of 1689. The kirpan was formally introduced by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, in 1699. So you could say all brits have as much of a claim to carry a weapon.
Religious exemptions for weapons is a bit too absurd. Every law abiding citizen should be able to carry a weapon for self-defense. It's rooted in English common law and formalized in the English Bill of Rights of 1689. Funny enough, the kirpan was formally introduced by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, in 1699. Brits have had the right to self defense formalized ten years longer than Sikh have carried the kirpan.
@libdunkmedia@EricLDaugh Trump doesn't manage his own stock portfolio and she knows that. Individual stocks are picked by third party managers. Nvidia would have been a safe bet. Bessent probably doesn't feel the need to state the obvious.
@SuperMandoBros@Dexerto Yes, it was a great video. I'm saying Bricks & Minifigs lawsuit sounds dumb. Opens them up to discovery. But I can hold the door open for the idea that we get a twist ending.
@tanpukunokami I think this wagyu nigiri was the best thing I've eaten. But at this particular restaurant. I wasn't able to determine with certainty what the restaurant name was. It was in Toshima, Tokyo. I'll need to try to find it when I go back.
I admit I'm being a little fussy and the clip is too small to judge the film. I do hope the movie does well and brings a new generation into the story. I just wouldn't mind seeing these audiences exposed to something other than the same cynical gags of the last dozen films they watched. A little emotional earnestness in a superhero film at this point could make it stand out from the pack.
