Is it okay to be excited about the Raiders? LOVE what they're doing in this draft class:
QB Fernando Mendoza
DB Treydan Stukes
EDGE Keyron Crawford
OL Trey Zuhn
CB Jermod McCoy
RB Mike Washington
Cons:
- Not a terrific deep threat. Plenty fast to improve however.
- May be slow to transition to full NFL role without scheme help. Indiana quick RPO game.
- Needs to develop separate skills in man coverage
- Good hands. Battles for the ball in 50/50 situations. Good tracking and focus.
- Will block at every level.
- Plenty athletic to play inside and outside. Transitioned to primary slot in '25.
Draft Analysis: Omar Cooper Jr
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 199 lbs
College: Indiana
NFL Comparison: Rashee Rice
Pros:
- The epitome of a football player. Does the dirty work with detail. Tough.
- One of the best runners with the football. 4th in mossed tackles forced (27) in '25
Cons:
- Extreme lack of separation. All deep routes turn into contested situations
- Unnecessary jumping at the catch point.
- Whiffs far too often when stock blocking. Never sets his feet well, and fails to use his size appropriately.
-Weird fumble issues
Lack of broken tackles
Draft Analysis: Malachi Fields
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 218 lbs
College: Notre Dame
NFL Comparison: Bryan Edwards
Pros:
- Exceptional back shoulder receiver. Has a good feel of when to turn on the corner and plucks the ball away.
- Can be a terror for smaller corners with his size
Cons:
- Pretty capped ceiling in terms of athleticism. To be truly special will need a perfect landing spot that commits to his skills.
- Likely a slot-heavy receiver in the NFL.
- Reception chart is primarily MOF
- Clemson used him like the Lions use Amon-Ra. Motion, inside/outside, screens, even in line blocking digging out linebackers.
- Very good hands. Down year in '24 but looks to be an anomaly
Draft Analysis: Antonio Williams
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 187 lbs
College: Clemson
NFL Comparison: Khalil Shakir
Pros:
- A steady, efficient route runner. Can run a full route tree.
- Great release tape. Shoulder pad level is advanced. He climbs his stems well and avoids contact
- Ole Miss and Georgia Tech had him in jail. He lit Vanderbilt up in 2025 as the only P5 school competition success.
- Lighter frame means he fails to box out and out-muscle defenders all the time.
Cons:
- 6+ drops in consecutive seasons
- Low YAC guy. Lanky frame makes breaking tackles awkward. (He did force 18 missed tackles in 2025, but only 300 yards of YAC)
- Severely limited route tree. Fade, Post, Hitch, Comeback, and Crossers are his routes.
Draft Analysis: Ted Hurst
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 206 lbs
College: Georgia State
NFL Comparison: Closer to MVS than Alshon Jeffery
Pros:
- A real burner if you let him, Hurst looks like Usain Bolt given free pasture to run.
- Almost 6'4" with leaping ability and long arms.
Cons:
- Stiff hips. In and out of route breaks efficiently is a struggle.
- Primarily an X receiver kept in a vertical plane.
- Breakout age paired with average production raises questions.
- Target depth and yards per route run don't align with his archetype.
- A true strider on the field. Can stretch deep and outrun defender angles with the ball once he gets going.
- Steady hands
- Solid press release plans. Uses his hands with good jab steps.
Draft Analysis: De'Zhaun Stribling
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 207 lbs
College: Ole Miss
NFL Comparison: Robert Meachum
Pros:
- A long, fast, tenacious receiver that is "Bout that life"
- Will block his ass off, and carries some power behind his hands
- Average depth of target is under 4 yards. Half of his 2025 receptions came behind or at the line of scrimmage. Note: USC used him more traditionally, but while his ADoT was double, his Yards per Route Run dropped significantly.
- Has not proven to be a successful route runner
