Charest: Well, let me just observe that the last time the president paid attention to a body of water, it was the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. And if I remember correctly, it didn't finish well
Chrystia Freeland: Canadians are willing to take the pain coming from this trade war.
Your reminder Freeland now lives in Oxford England, and will not be feeling any of the "pain".

Canada is our best trading partner.
President Trump’s USMCA sent trade between our countries soaring. The best deal is simple: zero tariffs for zero tariffs and a level playing field for both nations.

🚨 BREAKING:
Reporter: "Will Canada wait for a new US president to build a good relationship?"
🇨🇦 Carney: "We won't wait. We'll move forward. We've already tripled our trade with non-US countries."
"Canada will no longer depend on the mood of an 80-year-old man." 💀🔥
Carney is now the world's most popular leader thanks to his incredible courage. 🫡
USMCA, Article 32.10 (Non-Market Country FTA), applies to free trade agreements with certain “non-market countries.” Members can object to trade agreements of other members. In this instance. Think China. Very disingenuous and deceptive of this guy.
Smith is being curiously specific about what Trump “would do” if Canada used the leverage it has with oil to defend itself from American economic attacks. It’s almost as if she’s was given the task of delivering a threat … from Trump. Coward? Appeaser? Traitor? All of the above?
For some reason, I have been following these events with Canada closely. It seems that if Canada's federal government would have listened to Alberta and Sask. 5-10 years ago, there would be much less dependence on the US for refinement and transportation of it plentiful natural resources.
Fuck Trump right! 🇨🇦
Hey Canadians, you know that anger you are feeling towards Trump for tariffing your steel, aluminum etc.
Thats the same anger many Albertans have against @liberal_party for tariffing (taxing) our O&G and blocking pipelines.
If you want unity against Trump, maybe you should also unify with us against Ottawa’s NetZero insanity.
Thank you for your attention to this matter! 😉

My thoughts, as well. Not trying to insult any person's culture, but it was stupid to believe POTUS had time or inclination to threaten Quebec language and culture enough to scuttle trade deal. How could Canadians have ever believed that. Carney gaslighting again.
Now that a different version of how the deal ended is circulating in French media, you're looking forward to paving the way to a new deal instead of waging "war." You must think we're all stupid.
OUTRAGEOUS!!!
Carney tells Canadians we’ve been attacked and are at war.
He won’t meet the Canadian Parliament and inform Canadians about the deal.
But he’ll meet with the German, Latvian, Bulgarian (etc…) European MPs?
Does he think he’s so much better than our Parliament?
Canada welcomes that the U.S. is now withdrawing its positions on discoverability and labelling and is confirming that measures to promote French language and Canadian culture will not be subject to future U.S. trade actions.
We look forward to further constructive U.S. clarifications on their other positions which would create the possibility of a mutually beneficial trade agreement that respects Canadian sovereignty.
OH FUCK OFF @PierrePoilievre
EVERYONE knows what the deal was. The NY Times did a deep dive & confirmed that Canada’s version of events was the truth!
You want to recall parliament so you can make video reels & sound clips to rile your uneducated base! #cdnpoli#cdnpolitics
