Ben brings a wealth of experience, having spent the past seven seasons playing at Steps 3 and 4 of the non-league pyramid, primarily with Basingstoke Town.

He also enjoyed a spell at Bracknell Town, where he worked under manager Jamie McClurg.

An intelligent and hardworking midfielder, Ben adds quality, leadership and experience to the squad.

@philclarke0170 Then we can expect better than Billy or someone with a higher ceiling, there are plenty of players we can attract and most probably at the same or lower wages - from abroad. I personally think he accepts, but we’ll see.

If BM was considered a key player then he’d be offered good terms, apparently been offered something fair now - he either accepts or moves on. I trust that we’ll find a good replacement

@philclarke0170 I believe Caspar has been available more than Billy - the demands are high but if more players were fit and ready then it gives AN better options off the bench. I like Billy and hope he stays, but can see the justification for not offering him terms as a key player.

Boro lost, albeit were spied on, Hull should get automatic promotion really. However, Southampton should have been kicked out of the PO’s altogether which would mean starting them again as we would play Wrexham and Boro Vs Hull - but no time for that.

Are you saying you do not believe Southampton spied any other time and only these “proven” times? A bit coincidental
