It was our great pleasure to accompany three brilliant community contributors who presented a cheque of over £18,000 to @LOROSHospice here in #BeaumontLeys today.
They raised it by taking daring rickshaw 🛺 rides through tough terrains and jungles of south India earlier in the year.
We are grateful to Vik, Rik & Kalps for their amazing community service. Really well done! 👏
Incredibly proud moment for all of us here in #BeaumontLeys and across #Leicester. @BeaumontLeysSch has been named National School of the Year at the 2025 National School Awards. Remarkable achievement. 👏

Poignant #RemembranceDay at Victoria Park, #Leicester.
Deeply honoured to pay my respect to the brave fallen.

What an achievement. All the best

Great turnout of residents to protest against Leicester City Council’s plan to concrete over our beloved Beaumont Park with industrial units and travellers transit site. Not a single resident wants the council to pursue this utter madness. We urge the council to rethink, but until then we will continue with our fight to #SaveBeaumontPark.
Big thanks to all those who came out, especially to our friends from #SaveWesternParkGolfCourse who also came out to support us. We are equally behind them.
What’s really intriguing about the local plan is that this park (earmarked as site 464) was categorised as unsuitable for any development in the 2022 sustainability report but by Oct 2023 it was deemed suitable. When we challenged this at the hearing a typographical mistake was cited as the reason for this. Can you really believe this?!
So we fight on…

Wonderful #Diwali celebrations at #BeaumontLeys Shopping Centre. Joyous atmosphere full of fun, craft, music and dance. Delighted to see so many residents enjoying the festivities.
As ever, grateful to the shopping centre management for making this happen.

We definitely need that mobile polling station or a suitable alternative nearby. Driving to the library 1.6 miles is not convenient at all. Residents have been walking up to the nearby mobile polling station and that has been the case for over 10 years. Council should reconsider.
Good to see @HemanttBhatia holding @Leicester_News to account on behalf of democracy. Local councillor Hemant Rae Bhatia fears a decision to stop using two of the normal voting points in the upcoming PCC elections will leave some unable to vote.

Fantastic #DiwaliCelebration at #BeaumontLeys Shopping Centre. Great to see so many residents, especially children who enjoyed fabulous activities, music and dance - full of razzmatazz!
Big thanks to the centre management for organising this, six years running.

Accident (not) waiting to happen! Pop-up cycle lane on #BeaumontLeys Lane is extremely dangerous to both cyclists and motorists.
There’s no pandemic anymore, City Council should remove them immediately.

Residents are worried to see such pink chalk signs come up across the estate. @leicspolice @WestLeicsNPA hope you can give some advice here. A bit more of police presence/patrol will be reassuring. Thank you.
