Last Summer, I spoke at a rally headlined by the Vice President. We renewed our commitment to defend reproductive rights.

She is a champion for women and an experienced leader. I am proud to support her. This election is about preserving our democracy - she will do that.

It was my honor to speak on the campus of South Carolina State University for the groundbreaking of Turner Hall today. Our local universities are crucial to this community.

One of my consistent goals in office has been to bring jobs and growth to rural South Carolina. In the last few years, we have seen rapid expansions of new companies into industrial sites in Barnwell and Orangeburg, and I will continue to fight to bring quality jobs here.

Rev. Isaiah Odom faithfully served on Bamberg County Council for 42 years. As we pursued the construction of a new emergency room for our area, it was my pleasure to work with Rev. Odom and the other leaders of Bamberg and Barnwell counties to obtain the funding for it.

Supporting public education has been a cornerstone of my platform since I first ran for office in 1996. We have made strides in making South Carolina's schools more accessible and effective, but our work is far from over.
