“One lung-busting run every 20 to 30 minutes, and then just suboptimal play for the immediate five minutes that follow.”
Norway fans are doing a “Viking Row” up the escalator at Boston’s South Station before heading to the World Cup
Adding this to the list of things I’ve never seen before and probably never will again
Skip is the GOAT when it comes to sports nicknames:
-“Team Obliterator”
-“George Paul”/“Playoff Pee”
-“Bosh Spice”
-“Westbrick”
-“LeBrick”
-“Kyle I should’ve been a Bowler”
-“Joe Fluke-O”
-“Me, Myself & Iverson”
-“Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane”
-“Ason Kidd”
-“Luka Oncic”
-“Zaza PaCheapShot”
-“Jeff Can’t”
The list goes on…
But I have to say.
“Victim Wembanyama” is Skip’s best work.
Very inappropriate because I feel bad for Aldon and others but I cant get the idea that Boston University just has a Futurama like room filled with brains of athletes in tubes
The family of Aldon Smith has decided to send his brain to medical experts in Boston to see if CTE played a role in the former NFL defensive lineman's death. https://t.co/INGD37N7C5
at the same time the internet will preserve these accents for all time, it also helped create a world that no longer has extreme regional dialects and thats a shame
these voices remind me of childhood and send me flinching to avoid a cheap right hook
It's for the best I never met Eddie Andelman, on the theory you should never meet your heroes.
He was one of three hosts of The Sports Huddle, on four hours every Sunday night, and it was a staple in my house as kid. They - especially Eddie - talked sports in a way nobody else did. Funny. Irreverent. Insulting the right people. Elevating heels like The Grand Wizard of Wrestling to godlike status. Tearing down icons like the Yawkeys.
Every hour opened with a pre-recorded monologue to calliope music. Every segment was filled with sound drops like something idiotic somebody said. Guys like Don Zimmer despised them. A preteen from Weymouth who would go on to sit at that same mic decades later loved it. I wanted to be Eddie Andelman without even knowing it.
His relationships with his coworkers was way more complicated. His radio skills were very simple. It's only sports. Have fun with it. Have a few laughs and make other people laugh. And they were all great at it. RIP to a Boston radio pioneer.
Hot Dog Safari was a white trash paradise, horse racing, unlimited free hot dogs, and when my grandfather was security at Suffolk downs I lived like a king, RIP to Eddie
RIP to the great one. Absolute fucking legend.
Condolences to Eddie’s family and thousands of fans across the globe. And also to all the BHS alums of which I am one.

I feel like if the #Unitedbowl is your leagues biggest game you could use some field paint that doesn't fade to nothing before the 4th quarter , looks like a high school stadium in the spring
