Street Fighter 6 x Tifa collab details from SF6 Director Takayuki Nakayama:

- Talks started about 3 years ago
- Things moved faster after Nakayama and Hamaguchi appeared on stage together at TGS 2023, 3 months after the release of SF6
- The idea of Tifa had been discussed before then
- Someone at Square Enix suggested "For example, how about Tifa?"
- Capcom said “If it were to happen, it would definitely have to be ‘Tifa’" as she is originally a martial arts character
- Square Enix reviewed Capcom's designs and gave very detailed feedback
- Had a lot of detailed back and forth exchanges with Nomura on things such as small details and facial expressions
- Tifa will have an additional outfit
- Will use Materia somehow
- Will have gameplay elements unique to Tifa
- Nakayama was a big FF7 fan
- Square did reject some things but they mostly gave the OK for everything
- They put a lot of effort into creating her moves
