Announcing a new paper (with code) from the @VILaboratory "R-Sparse R-CNN: SAR Ship Detection Based on Background-Aware Sparse Learnable Proposals": https://t.co/WY3kiGoC8I

Jointly with @KarakusOktay, we introduced a robust Kalman filtering method, the RKFNet, which combines a heavy-tailed-based RKF with deep learning and hence eliminates the need for precise parameter estimation of heavy-tailed distributions encountered in tracking applications.
The third and final journal article issued from the work of our ex-PhD student, Pengcheng Hao (now with Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute), is now out.

Very proud of our ex-PhD student, Xin Tian, who soon after joining Oxford University as a postdoctoral researcher, got another part of her PhD thesis accepted as Research Article in Biological Imaging. - https://t.co/4FYdAU3U5Y

We also introduced a unique dataset comprising mouse OCT and confocal retinal images, facilitating the development of- and establishing a benchmark for- cross-modal image translation research https://t.co/YZeVoLJVvw
This marks the first attempt to exploit the inherent 3D information of OCT and translate it into the rich, detailed color domain of confocal microscopy.
Our latest paper resulting from the excellent PhD work of Pengcheng Hao, co-supervised with @KarakusOktay is now out. Info on how to download the code inside the article 😉https://t.co/uDXi9zTemQ
