Stomach churning, therefore, to see Sir Keir Starmer say there are too many people from overseas working in our health service.

They want a pay rise to take their salary to half that of MPs.

At the height of Covid devoted nurses risked their lives whilst MPs were clapping on their doorsteps.

Another project I’m working on, a jacket knitted from the collar down through the body. The colour is deep plum and the wool was purchased from Venetia’s Yarn Shop in Fakenham, a great place to visit if you are into colour and all things woolly.
