In science, Year 1 have been exploring materials. So far, we have learnt about glass, fabric, metal, paper, water, wood and plastic. Yesterday, we sorted objects according to the material they are made out of.
Year 1 had a wonderful time at the Mosque. The children learnt about different Mosques from around the world, the 5 daily prayers, Imams, Muazzin, Tasbeeh, Wudhu and lots more. The Imam and Mosque volunteers were fantastic and shared lots of interesting knowledge.
1 Cherry have been preparing for Remembrance Day , and have painted their own poppies to remind us of those soldiers who have fought for our freedom during war. They used the end of their pencils to carefully dot red paint onto their poppy outline.
1 Cherry are thoroughly enjoying their forest school sessions. Today, they began by learning to tie knots and then, with these skills, worked in small teams to build dens.
