@bromleywithlove@MashStPaddy That was a great interview. Much better questioning than the standard asking about the game. You just feel that Woody is probably worth at least 10 points a season in terms of what he gets out of the players on top of what they might otherwise produce
@AdamSchefter Crikey. Let’s hope he’s ok and recovers quickly. Otherwise I guess yo must be so proud claiming joint-first on the news literally 11 days after it happened?
@bromleywithlove That looks a genuinely good signing. Flexibility. Suspect he doesn’t have the pace to play LB regularly. Some guys just need a change of scenery and luck to make it happen - let’s hope he is one as there is some talent in there
@bromleywithlove What do you think will do with George Evans? He looks raw still but Woody clearly fancies him as he put him in some high value situations later last season. Also a different option given his size
@LouStagner I disagree with you Lou - but only ont he fact that they wouldn’t have called a lesser known player. They would if they had seen it. Whether they would have had cameras on it for lesser players is a different point - but being on tv the rules team saw it as called it right
@BenColeyGolf I watched it and thought was fine - assumed was on the way back. The way he trod in way back in clearly improved lie. Probably not intentional but rules have no intent requirement. I would be mindful of it so as a pro feels sloppy
@GuillemBalague I think the point you made about midfielders in the earlier post is correct. We aren’t as technically good as Spain so is harder for us to keep ball like they did against France. You can defend but you need an outlet ball and we had pace to bring on against a very slow defence
@MashStPaddy They looked so comfortable in a back 4. bringing on Konsa totally confused them. Much as i am not a fan it was perfect for Madueke. Out and out pace so an outlet ball and he wouldn’t have to defend as needed someone up top to stop it coming straight back. Awful…
Wayne Rooney is such a good pundit but somehow a terrible manager. He is dying to say what he really thinks about Tuchel’s tactics there but is being quite restrained. We had them out wide and could have got a second. Just sat back and waited to be picked off
@MeetTheCritics Absolutely Les- manager cost us there - we had no outlet against donkies at the back. He is a great manager so hopefully will learn from it. And the BBC pundits are being really polite in how they are explaining it. Worst Argentina team in years and we still couldnt get it done
@BenColeyGolf I think you nailed it Ben. Stones played it perfectly and forced the attacker to make a good play. Attacker could have taken a line to force Stones to commit to either go past or pass. In the end he fluffed it
@bromleywithlove I know Andy’s style is slightly different but I think they could do with a pace option upfront as well to enable a different strategy at times. Playing off Cheek or Kabamba knock downs and so on
@DanOnGolfShow@manorsgolf@Daniel_Rapaport Bad take. He dealt drugs. To many that is no different to physical violence. Wouldn’t be allowed into US if not a resident and UK is the same.
@MashStPaddy It’s utterly awful. Such a horrible look for an organisation that most had already decided could be bought. Not sure it was a red but this approach feels unprecedented and not sure how they are not forced to repeat for any red card in future?
@danielgregoryy Depends on his role. It was pretty evident from second half of season that he wasn’t going to be an automatic starter? I imagine we don’t have too much to spread around so more important to prioritise it for guaranteed starters? Realities of a well run club?
