Less than 24 hrs post Churchill Falls announcement, I've been served several paid ads for it thru targeted social media, on the radio during Open line & now this banner on their website (they've never had a banner there before).
If it's such a great deal, why the hard sell?
@knows_jill Because healthcare is broken. And if I can afford better healthcare I should be able to get it. The public only system is not working, we need both to ease the burden on the public sector.
Also can you provide a source that this is their "main policy objective"?
I am sorry you were harassed today.
Of course, it shouldn’t be that way.
There’s better language, and a time and place to debate policies and what’s best for our country.
Mr. Singh, what country are you exactly suggesting my husband wants?
People out there are hurting. And yes, they are angry. But my husband has not been the man in charge for the last eight years. That’s your friend, Justin Trudeau. People didn’t wake up angry one day without reason. The policies implemented by the government that YOU support have caused much harm.
Why are criminals released so easily? Why are so many court cases tossed? You want safe streets? Then why are you continuously supporting the harmful Liberal policies that caused this mess?
You want to talk about the country Pierre Poilievre, my husband, wants? Then listen carefully to his policies and actually watch the man he is. I’m tired of you and your friends portraying my husband as someone he is NOT.
He married a Latino woman and fully embraces my culture. He married a strong woman and is proud of it. He supports, celebrates, and promotes strong women around him. He is a loving father of two and incredibly protective of our young, vulnerable daughter. He loves to read books to bebé Cruz. Just tonight, he was reading *Le Petit Prince* to him.
The country my husband wants is a country where hard work pays off, so that blue-collar workers like cabinet makers like my brother don’t have to choose between rent or food. Where housing is affordable, so that immigrants can adapt to their new home and actually afford one, like my parents were able to do many years ago. A country that is proud and where our military men and women are supported, because it is only fair that we support the people willing to give their lives for our country and freedom, like my other younger brother.
Mr. Singh, the only person you have to blame for the current state of our country and people’s mood and desperation is the man currently in charge, and those who keep him in charge.
@FoodProfessor@PaulSeczek If profits are only nominally up on food, does that mean what the Tories are saying about the carbon tax drastically affecting grocery prices are true ?
@MAtlas1999@JeffreykBrace No event in Newfoundland (much like the rest of Canada) history has ever been alcohol free. You just had people doing it on the sly.
The relentless push by Trudeau Gov't to confiscate property of law-abiding firearm owners, while at the same time reducing jail time for criminals who commit crimes using illegally-acquired guns (smuggled from U.S.) is so contradictory & bewildering it is difficult to comprehend.
@DukeTobin@PeterCBC@PremierofNL Imagine your province being in critical financial shape and being okay with your Premier moonlighting as a doctor. Your generation got us into this and your generation is dying to keep us here.
@NonsenseTracker @lynayanb @SeamusORegan If Canada cuts all emissions- literally all of them - it will have no effect on climate change whatsoever. But you should do your part and stop buying groceries don’t use heat and light, get rid of electronics and stop buying clothes. It’s all at your fingertips cause of O&G
@Pete49173511 @Andrewlwaterman Also, it’s not supposed to be totally safe? We’re kinda just spoiled. When our parents and grandparents were little it was TB and POLIO. It was just another thing that could potentially kill ya. We haven’t had to deal with that in a while so it’s scary now.
@Pete49173511 @Andrewlwaterman I know it’s mean in your opinion, but We’ve taken literally all action possible to protect those people besides agree to live under constant mandates. If you’re TRULY that afraid of it, you’ll get your groceries delivered, shop online, and ask family to do the same.
@Pete49173511 @Andrewlwaterman They can stay home. While I sympathize that’s they’re at risk, I’m not and shouldn’t have to live as if I am. Personal responsibility is super important. Make your own risk analysis.
This is exactly what we look for in a Member of Parliament.
Way to go Clifford Small, thank you for standing up for the Bay du Nord project and Newfoundland and Labrador.
