1/5 Flew @united this past vacation for the first time in a long time. While my flight to my destination was relatively stress-free, coming home was a nightmare. We were scheduled to fly from HDN to PHL via @ORDAirport. Our flight arrived on time to HDN but boarded about 15min
2/5 late while they calculated passengers & luggage weight. After asking a handful of people to fly standby we were allowed to board. We then sat for over 20min while they continued to calculate weight. In the end, everyone on stand by was able to board. The pilot then told
3/5 us that b/c we sat for so long we needed to de-ice. After waiting for the crew to de-ice our plane we started running low on fuel & had to wait to be refueled before getting de-iced. In the end, we were sitting on the plane for almost 3hrs before taking off. On the flight,
4/5 attendants were updating passengers on connecting flights, most of which were being missed. We were told our flight from ORD to PHL was also delayed & if we ran we could make it. Upon finally landing in ORD I ran .4mi b/w the gates & arrived while the final passengers were
5/5 boarding… only to find out that our, first class, seats were given away b/c ‘they’ didn’t think we were going to make & we were bumped to a later flight. So, what should’ve been an easy 6hr trip home w/2 small children ended up taking over 9hrs.
Really @amazon driver? This seemed like an ideal place for a package? How lazy is your driver that they couldn’t drive around our circular driveway & put it at the front door?
2/2 who told me to quickly get off & get our tickets at the next stop & nodded as the train pulled away while we were being handed our tickets - this morning I told my 6yo that kindness is free. You sir, did not show kindness to us. Signed, an #imperfectparent#parentingfail
1/2. Dear @SEPTA conductor who saw me running for the train carrying my 6yo (yelling “wait”) who rolled his eyes & said “we don’t wait ma’am”, who rolled his eyes again when I realized that I was short $1 on our fare...
"Another broken promise from the president." @BrianStelter flashes back to June 2016 when Candidate Trump said he would not revoke credentials from reporters as president. #reliablesources
I'm posting this close up not to bolster my argument that Jim Acosta did nothing wrong, because I think that's pretty clear. Instead, look at the way this staffer keeps looking to Trump for confirmation on each attempt. It's so creepy. This blind obedience is cult like.
Utterly beautiful column: "Just as every Jewish couple gets married under a canopy open on all four sides...so must Jewish communities keep our tents open. This is the true source of our longevity and resilience."
